Hi, I'm Kel. I like trying out new things #Kels.Art

I'm trying to let go of perfectionism, the discomfort of sharing things that aren't what I wanted them to be, and the feeling that I shouldn't'take up space' with things people may not care about or like.

I like interacting with people here. But due to fatigue I'm going to need regular breaks and may not reply for a bit or react immediately. I'm also not interested in any drama. Live and let live.

"Poppy"

I drew this for someone I met during a difficult time. I knew she loved Poppy flowers. I knew it was her birthday. We've been friends ever since.

I used this image I found online as a reference.

I saw this post a while back and had to paint the Quetzal. Such a gorgeous animal.

Painted almost entirely with painting knives (except the blue sky background)

I really like the texture of this and the feel of working with real sand and shells.

I made this for my father's 72nd birthday. He likes vacationing at the beach and picked those shells himself. I thought it would be sweet to use those in a painting for him.

Tried a new brand of acrylic paint and did some color mixing. Trying out different colors was nice, but I felt bad that it didn't look neat.

I added the writing to remind myself that I wanted to let go of perfectionism and expectations.
