This makes me so sad :(
My conceptual narrative on eating disorders and self image. I’ve struggled with an eating disorder since I was in the 9th grade so I felt led to this subject when my photography professor gave us this assignment. Though taking these images was hard, I wanted to express what I feel on a daily basis, in the hopes that I can spread awareness through my story. Each and everyone is beautiful and deserves to feel happy with themselves. If you try and change yourself, you’re taking something unique away from the world.
Always remember, It gets better.

The moment you realize you’re sexy, everyone else will, too.

Ngl, this cartoon speaks volumes. Despite all their differences, they are still so perfect, sweet and delightful
my post ;)
To me body positivity isn’t actually about the body itself, it’s about realising that people are so much more than their bodies. As soon as someone is fat, that’s all they are in the eyes of many. They are reduced to what their body looks like. In the eyes of a lot of people, when you are fat you are not pretty, or kind, or caring, or smart, a good friend, lover, spouse, parent, sibling. You aren’t deserving of good things. You are just fat. It’s bizarre to me how people would rather be called a bad person than fat, because apparently being fat is right in step with the lowest of the low, on par with being called stupid or ugly.
I don’t personally find every body attractive. Not every body type is attractive to me, but does that in any way mean that they are, definitively, not attractive? No. I am just one person and what I perceive is probably not the same as the person next to me. I believe that every type of body, every type of face, skin colour, hair colour, eye colour and anything else has the potential to be attractive, to other people as well as to oneself.
