Squinting a bit at the mention of her and Logan moving in together, her head shook when Kendra finished talking. “Nope.” Lia answered flatly, shoulders shrugging up. “We haven’t even been together a year- and even in the time we have been together chunks of it have been taken out because I’m not always here, you know? I don’t wanna mess anything up by leaping into a big move in too fast.” The girl breathed out a sigh, pushing her hand back through her hair. “I guess a part of me not wanting to get an apartment is because of that though, that it seems like a big commitment for me to make when I’m not here all the time- I don’t know that probably seems stupid considering I can’t live with my dad forever, but.” She shrugged again, leaning her head on Kendra’s shoulder and taking a long sip of her coffee. “You got it.” Lia answered with a small smile.
"That makes sense, yeah. I guess I just wondered if it was a thought at all since it would skip the step of you getting a place of your own, but your point totally makes sense." Kendra nodded. "Also I don't exactly have the experience needed to really assist in that kind of decision making. I can't even commit to what pet I want, let alone if I could live with another human." She snickered with a shake of her head. Nodding once again as what her best friend said made a bit of sense, she shrugged her shoulders after the fact just before Lia’s head laid against one. "Yeah, but people do that all the time, right? You still have a place to come home to and spend your time when you're not gone that's not your dad's house. That's probably better than your only options being your dad's or your boyfriends and nowhere just yours, right?"
adalia-carter:
“You probably should, because if I leave it up to myself I’ll never do it.” Adalia let out a laugh, nose wrinkling up as Kendra spoke. “It’s not even like that’s why I haven’t picked anything out or even looked. I honestly don’t even know why I haven’t but it’s starting to annoy him a lot, and I guess I’ll be nice and not annoy my boyfriend.” She let out a laugh, voice going deeper as she mocked what Logan had said to her at lunch. “It isn’t as if you can’t afford it, Lia, you can’t live with your father forever.” The girl sighed afterwards, letting out another laugh. “Pencil me in for apartment hunting next week?”
Nodding with a smile, Kendra tilted her drink in Lia's direction, the gesture meant to show the other girl made a valid point. "Have you guys talked about like, moving in together or anything? Or is the whole you being at his place all the time just because you don't actually have a your place?" She asked, a small laugh in her voice as she grimaced a little after the reminder. Snickering around a sip of her drink, she wrinkled her nose up. "The boyfriend does make a valid point." She noted before giving a nod of her head. "I'll update you on my schedule later, I don't remember it off the top of my head right this second, but for sure we'll figure something out there."

After lunch with her boyfriend, Lia didn’t even bother to go home knowing she already had plans to see her best friend later on. A few stops into random stores on Main Street later and she was heading towards Lover’s Point to wait for Kendra. Enjoying the sun and the light breeze, she didn’t even hear the other girl walking up to her where she sat pretzel legged on the bench. “Jesus.” Lia gasped a bit when the coffee was shoved over her shoulder. “Thanks.” The brunette answered with a laugh, scooting over on the bench so her friend could sit down. “Expensive.” She snorted out, taking a sip of her coffee then breathing out a sigh. “He got on me about moving out, again though, so I guess I should actually start looking at apartments soon so he doesn’t do something annoying and pick one out for me himself.”
Letting out a laugh at the initial answer to her question, Kendra nodded her head. "Sounds about right, yes." She pointed out. Sipping at the straw in her cold brew, she quirked a brow at the mention of apartments. "I can go apartment hunting with you if it makes it less unbearable?" She offered. "I know when I first was looking for mine, it was a little tedious a process, but like, obviously it's worked out well for me since." Wrinkling her nose up faintly, she snickered before speaking again. “Or, I could leave that fun to your boyfriend.”
Ducking into the bathroom after her shift ended, Kendra changed clothes then messily twisted her dark hair up, using a couple pens from her back to hold it up. She had her and Lia's coffees comped with her partner numbers before heading out of the store and heading back into town. Meeting in the park area at Lover's Point, Kendra headed to the bench she happened to notice her friend waiting for her on, coming up behind it and holding Lia's coffee out over the other girl's shoulder. "I come bearing a gift." She announced with a light laugh before coming around to sit on the bench, too. "How was lunch with Lo Lo?"
