🎉 Kenfetti Week 2026 Prompts 🎉
Day 1 - Strings of Fate
Whether they be literal soulmate strings, the binding chains of a prophecy, a loop in the glittering thread of time, or a strand of reincarnation running through the tapestry of multiple lives these two are bound together.
Day 2 - Missing Pieces
A secret identity, espionage, deliberately withheld information. Today is the day of lies and deceit, what are these two hiding, what are they keeping from each other?
Day 3 - Ship in a Bottle Episode
Today there are two prompts to choose from! Ship in a bottle: take them to the high seas! They could be mermaids or pirates, jango could be a leopard seal selkie and obi-wan a doomed polar explorer, set them in the age of sail or even watching the dance of the moonlight jellies in Stardew Valley. Or you can choose the bottle episode: where they’re in some way forcibly entangled. Are they trapped in a cave, handcuffed together, stuck in prison or some sort of magic making it painful for them to be apart?
Day 4 - Deep In The Dark
The dove is so very very dead today because today is the day to unleash all the most delightfully dark ideas you’ve been dreaming up all year. Serial killing, stalking, cults and kidnapping, Integration AUs, Hanahaki, despair, hurt/no comfort, gore and torture. Put them through hell and then rescue them….or don’t.
Day 5 - Take My Hand
Arranged marriages, courtship rituals (is he giving him the skulls of their enemies or flowers?), are they in a fake relationship for a mission, or is one a warlord taking the other as a prize?
Day 6 - The Beast is Out There
Sharp teeth, piercing claws, wings and tentacles, things that go bump in the night. From eldritch creatures, to dragons, werewolves, demons, and more. Is the beast a prince in disguise or truly the monster it seems?
Day 7 - Go Out With a Bang
Today it’s all about sex and kinks. Write the dark kinks, the light ones, the ones you never see people writing enough of. The omorashi, the woundfucking, bootblacking and shibari. The before we die or thank god you’re alive sex. The rituals that use sex, the scarification, the orgasm denial or overstim.
Remember: Works are due Sunday August 2nd and should be posted to the Kenfetti Week 2026 Collection on AO3!

🎉Work Submission Tutorial🎉
Hey all, with one month left to go until the Kenfetti Week 2026 posting deadline on August 2nd we wanted to make sure everyone knows how to post a fic to the collection! Since Kenfetti Week is a moderated event, you'll need to submit your works for approval by August 2nd if you want them to appear in this year's AO3 collection!
For those who have never used AO3 collections before, don't worry, the process is very easy and you can do it two different ways:
1. Once you've created your work, simply go to the Kenfetti Week 2026 Collection (A03/collections/Kenfetti_Week_2026) and click the "Post to Collection" button- the second button from the left, in the top right if you're on desktop and center-screen if you're on mobile. This will automatically post it to the collection once you have published your work.
2. Once you've created your work, go through your usual posting process, fill out all fields as normal, and then type kenfetti_week_2026 into the "Post to Collections/Challenges" box in the "Associations" section. Be sure to confirm it by either typing a comma or hitting enter.
This will ensure that your work is submitted to the collection.
- Please remember to tag all submissions with the corresponding prompt day and the year separated by a hyphen (e.g. "Day 3- 2026" or "Day 5- 2026") so that we can reveal the works on the correct days!
- Please also note that because we read and approve every work that is submitted and reveal them day by day according to the theme, each day needs to be posted as it's own standalone work. We cannot accept compilation works where each chapter is a separate day because we can't reveal chapters separately.
- Due to the nature of the event, your works will be listed as "Unrevealed Work" until the relevant posting day, but you will still be able to see and edit your work as usual. Since it is an unrevealed work, if you do wish to edit your work after submitting it, you will need to navigate back to the Collection and access it via the collection’s works tab because it will not appear on your personal AO3 profile until the collection is revealed.
- It is also highly recommended that, on the day of each reveal, creators alter the publication date of your works to match (e.g. "16 August 2026" for Day 1, "22 August 2026" for Day 7). This is to prevent your work from appearing in the tags with the date on which it was initially published, rather than the date on which the work is revealed, and thus being lost several pages from the top of each tag.
- To alter the publication date on your work go to the “Associations” box and click the tick box next to “Set a different publication date” and then set the correct day. Please note that you cannot select days in the future so each work must have the date set manually on the correct day!
- Late submissions may be accepted at mod discretion, but please keep in mind that all Kenfetti Week - 2026 Collection submissions are due by August 2nd, not the day for each reveal.
The mod team will be spending the intervening time between due date and reveal dates looking over all submissions to make sure they follow event rules and give creators time to make any necessary adjustments before works go live.
When August 16th rolls around, the mods will reveal all works tagged “Day 1- 2026" and continue in that vein for the rest of the event week. If you post any links or works here on Tumblr over the course of Kenfetti Week, please feel free to tag it with #kenfetti week 2026 so we can easily find and reblog it! You can also @ this blog in the body of the post to make sure we don't miss it, or submit your link or work for posting on this blog if you have no Tumblr account of your own that it would be appropriate to post on.

May 10th: submission form closes
May 24th: prompts are revealed!

Hello hello, if Kenfetti week is the 16th-24th of August why are there only seven prompts when that’s 9 days?
Hey thanks anon!! That was absolutely a typo on our part! It should say the 16th-22nd and we’ve edited the schedule posts to reflect the actual correct dates!
1) All works submitted will be reviewed and approved by moderators before the reveals.
2) Fanfics and fanart of all ratings and archive warnings will be allowed.
3) All fanfics must be tagged fully and accurately or use the Chose Not To Warn archive warning. If a mod asks you to add a tag you must do so even if you don't personally think the tag is necessary.
3а) Works submitted with intentionally wrong tags (such as an enthusiastic consent tag on a purely noncon fic) will not be accepted and the creator may be banned from future events at mod discretion.
3b) If you choose not to warn please keep to the spirit of it and use it for twists and surprises. If you choose not to warn and warn for some triggers but not others a mod may ask you to add further tags.
4) Works designed to harass other writers will not be accepted and creators may be banned from future events at mod discretion. No spitefic.
5) Works that are obviously meant to incite or denigrate specific groups of fans will not be allowed and creators may be banned from future events at mod discretion. Bashing of specific characters e.g. Qui-Gon Jinn is allowed.
5a) Since this is a Kenfetti event, works bashing Obi-Wan Kenobi or Jango Fett will not be allowed.
6) Works of all archive warnings are allowed but please keep all participants in explicit underage content at the age of 13 or above. Non-explicit implied/referenced underage at earlier ages is allowed.
7) Late submissions will be allowed at mod discretion. If you submit a 50k fic the day before it's reveal is due it will likely not be accepted.
