Teeny Tiny Notebook
I just got a hold of this small notebook with the idea that it would be more encouraging towards making quick drawings. Say “hey, uhhh… What’s up?” to Crob!

You're in a very cramped tiny disco party and there's an animatronic boar in the corner of the room.
This is a work in progress. Still figuring out how to incorporate it into something.
I started with Sound Effect Study and switched the sounds out to my own music hoping it would maybe improvise over the background track. I also added in my own code from a previous project that has constantly regenerating semi random fractal design in it. This is the link to the original Sound Effect Study that I derived much of the code from. http://www.openprocessing.org/sketch/34257
It's mildly entertaining and there's no end goal!

Here's a piece I made to be sold at fundraiser to restore and preserve the Frank Lloyd Wright house in Tallahassee, FL. This piece is an abstracted model of the Spring House designed using the blueprints of the house and is built using slices of steel and laser-cut wood stacked together to form a 3D model.
The actual house is in pretty rough condition, but it's a sight to see something that's so valuable and run down at the same time.
Here's a link to the site if anyone is interested in helping out with the Spring House. http://www.preservespringhouse.org/
Now it can hold itself! It's got a thick layer of Plasti-Dip on all the legs which strengthened them noticeably while still allowing movement. From there the parts were painted in 2 very close shades of green/blue.
Made the revision to the midsection. It looks and is a lot lighter now, but still can't hold its own weight yet because the legs bend sideways. I want to avoid adding more parts just for structural integrity. I'm going to try using Plasti-Dip on each of the legs and see if a thin rubber coat will actually reinforce the chassis without adding much mass to it.
I made a revision to the hinged leg design. This one allows an incredibly amount of movement, but it's actually too much and it can't support its own weight. (that's why its sitting on the cylinder). My focus was on designing the legs, so the middle section got neglected a bit.
It's making progress but I can't help but think that it looks like a mech-warrior for the Hamburglar...
Here's some carabiners that I did not design. I copied a design I saw on Kickstarter to see how well the single piece hinge idea worked. It worked well! I tried lasercutting a few materials. The wood looks cool, but it's absolutely impractical and fragile!
The original design was found here. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1147070536/bauhaus-series-unibody-titanium-key-carabiner
I was experimenting with designs that allow movement from a single piece of material. (In this case, laser cut masonite) This design has a ball and socket set up in each joint with a thin strip of material to connect each section. This first design worked decently well, but looked way too much like a tribal tattoo, and I was trying to get a little more mobility.
I was able to integrate clips into the design as well, so I managed to get 3 legs on this disc just to test structural integrity.
Work in progress
