Lepanthopsis kayi
-
Named for the late Andreas Kay.
Phalaenopsis equestris var. coerulea
-
The was supposed to be just a patio plant for the summer, but I think it’s going to be a keeper. The entire plant is about 6-in (12-cm) tall. It's in a 4-in terra cotta pot in medium Orchiata bark.
Hava a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!
Lepanthes rupestris
Monophyllorchis sp.
-
Yes, an orchid. Not an aroid. It isn’t in flower at the moment, but hopefully it will eventually produce small, green or white flowers from the center of the leaf. Formerly a monotypical genus, there are now at least three different species.
Pleurothallis nitida and Pleurothallis sanchoi
-
According to Luer’s description, the only significant difference between the two species is the shape of the leaf. P. nitida has a subcordate (heart-shaped) leaf, and P. sanchoi has a cuneate (wedge-shaped) leaf.
