The malthouse and elevator at the Rosenheimer Malt & Grain Co. were destroyed in a fire in 1911. $200,000 in damage was assessed at the property; over 100,000 bushels of barley were rendered useless in the fire. That's a lot of beer not made!

Creepy story from April, 1933. A brother and sister were robbed at their farm just two miles north of town. The story picks up again the next month where it was said that some of the "loot" was recovered.

1945 yearbook dedicated to Principal Clifford M. Rose. Dr. Rose was principal of Kewaskum High School for many years. He was a champion for rural schooling and led the district during its formation and the subsequent closing of many of the one-room schoolhouses in the area. He passed away in 1966. He is honored today by the Rose Library at Kewaskum High School.

The original copy of the "Father Mayer Manuscript", which was thought to be lost, can be found at St. Francis Seminary Library. Father Mayer's thesis was published by the Kewaskum Statesman in 1995 as a special supplement. His manuscript is the source of the mysterious unattributed "Chief Kewaskum" photo.
