Milwaukee River

It was too hot today to chase trout (maybe not for them, but for me). So I decided to stay home and fish in the river nearby instead.

The warm water species came through for me. I caught five smallies and what I thought was a whale but turned out to be a channel catfish. That catfish hit like a freight train and had some tug to it!

The Evinrude Flying Saucer Fishing Boat

The Flying Saucer fishing boat was the first of its kind to be built and had seen trial runs, reportedly on Milwaukee River and had even graced the 1957 New York Boat Show, but was never commercially manufactured.
