Soma, first of all, you're a sweetie gentleman. Second, do you like sweets (no pun intended)? If so, which one do you like the most?

SOMA: Huh? Hahah...you're making me blush. Thanks, miss, I try to be polite to everyone, regardless of gender.

As for sweets? I do have a bit of a sweet-tooth, admittedly...but not nearly as much as Altair, funny enough. But I tend to like dark chocolate or lollipops. Good stuff!

Assistance || Seth + Alvina

The voice of another person startled Alvina out of her little shuffle through her papers. Standing up straight quickly and causing a few to scatter, she placed one hand over her mouth as she inhaled sharply – causing a little gaps of surprise to sound. Oh dear! Was this the boy? What a first impression she was making. Hopefully that wouldn’t frighten him away or make him think of her as… well, an ineffective nurse or an unfit one.

“Ah- I – uh no! Now is fine! Actually right now is absolutely perfect! Sorry about this mess erm – Seth, right? Actually, this whole mess was me trying to figure out where I noted down the time I asked you to come! I fear I’m just a tad forgetful… don’t let that deter you though! Everything that needs to get donw definitely does!” She walked around the desk as she spoke, approaching the young man. He looked…well, average for the most part. He had a kind smile more than anything, and that made her feel good – to feel at ease.

“So, I heard that you were wanting to be an assistant here in the clinic? Orrrr….was I wrong?”

His smile didn't really show his teeth, but it seemed quite serene.

He examined her quickly. If the mess in the room didn't mention a scatterbrained nature, the way she spoke told the story. He didn't mind the papers or anything though. Papers weren't exactly the most important thing about being a nurse, he figured. Sure, it had some purpose, but it was supposed to be about helping others, right? The mess wouldn't scare him off, though part of him figured he might autopilot through some organization of the papers a little later if he needed to.

"Yes, that's why I'm here," he confirmed quickly, hoping to ease her jumpiness a little. He hadn't meant to startle her, nor did he want her to think he thought poorly of her. Had she been, say, yelling at someone over the phone, it might be a different story, but a few--or...well, a whole bunch of--loose papers weren't worth getting freaked out over.

"The mess is alright, don't worry...ah, what's your name?" Everyone he'd talked to just called her 'the nurse' so far, otherwise he'd have it down. He pulled slightly at the edge of his white jacket.

Assistance || Seth + Alvina

The influx of new students coming in was both daunting and exciting. The immortal woman who called herself a healer – and now a school nurse – was eager to meet the new students and had even received word that there was one who expressed interest in becoming her aide. She had sent them a note asking them to come to her office – but she had forgotten what time she had listed and now restlessly rifled through papers on her desk. Maybe she had written a note of the time somewhere around here? She was not sure; her organization was quite a bit flawed and her mind so scattered.

“Aaaah, darn.” She murmered, not even noticing the door as it opened up to reveal the student in question. “Darn! I need to be more organized…”

Seth had gently pushed the door open, though he'd heard the shuffling of papers and quiet muttering even before he'd opened it. He wasn't sure whether or not to be concerned, though as he pushed the door open, he saw a woman looking through a disorganized stack of papers. A faint hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his lips, despite himself. It wasn't a condescending type smile by any means, just one of amusement. It almost reminded him of...well, his younger self, honestly. Was that rude? He wasn't sure. Oh well.

"Do you need some help with something, or should I come back later?" he asked, his tone neutral but not deadpan as he briefly looked around the office, taking the sights in. He was always intrigued by new places, even if they weren't remarkable or particularly interesting by most standards. A few seconds went by as he scanned the room. Window, light, papers, computer, person...a few seconds of analyzing and he could probably navigate this room blind. A memory such as his had its advantages. Disadvantages, too, but he tried not to think about that.

Starter (Seth)

Seth had faced some difficulty in explaining why being a student at this school, or any school for that matter, would be problematic at best. He'd settled for agreeing to help anyone who needed assistance on campus, though he still acted as a 4th year student at the school. That was the best he could really do without fully admitting to the whole 'android' thing. He didn't mind, though, truth be told. It seemed at a place like this, people would have difficulty getting at him easily. Not that people ever specifically came after him anymore. At best, they thought he had information, not the actual artifact on hand. Or...uh, in his chest cavity. Same thing, really.

He sat close to one of the stairwells in the school building, looking half asleep as he mentally surfed through a page online using school wifi. He wondered if and how he showed up as connected to the server when he did things like this, if he did at all. Maybe as a code of numbers? No matter. It was early, and classes hadn't started yet...likely wouldn't for a bit, provided he had the scheduled numbers recorded correctly.

Speaking of numbers, what was his math class going to look like?

His mind wandered easily and continued to do so for a while, though occasionally his eyes would follow a stray student or staff member who passed by him.

Hi, Seth! What do you like to do as a hobby?

SETH: Oh, hello! Ah, hobbies...hobbies...I suppose I read a lot? Both books and online, which is made easier with my technopath abilities. I also listen to music from time to time...there's a lot of great music out there. I suppose for something a little less standard, I like folding things out of paper. Sometimes I'll write messages on the paper before I fold them. Soma has a crane and Kika has a wolf that I folded, but otherwise I just keep them to myself.

Rio here! I just wanted to tell everyone that we have someone joining us on the blog. He's often sick and asleep, but he'll answer any questions you have in his waking hours. Seth's 'about' page is on the bottom with the rest of ours. Try not to scare him too much with odd questions, okay guys? ~Keys of The Elements

What are your favorite subjects in school?

RIO: I personally really enjoy history and English, though I prefer not to be at school at all.

KIKA: I used to really enjoy science, but now I tend to just laugh at it. A lot of what we can do simply breaks all of the rules! It's fantastic. Now, I tend to prefer PE, though not because of the actual sports...I just like getting more fit. I'm a minority on that particular opinion, I know.

VIVI: Urgh, school. I know the high school has a cooking class and a metalwork class, but I can't attend yet...since I'm homeschooled, I guess I enjoy history and writing.

SOMA: English, probably, though I also enjoy sciences...that lately has diminished for the same reasons Kika mentioned, but I still enjoy it.

ALTAIR: English and art.

Do you guys and gals have someone you like in special?

RIO: Like, a crush? Hm, not yet. I haven't met anyone in particular who catches my interest in that way, you know? But maybe someday I will, male or female. I'm open to either, really.

KIKA: I have someone in mind, yes, but I can't force anything with him, y'know? I'll wait as long as I can, but I'm not a patient person, so at some point, maybe I'll ask him out myself. Still, rejection is a scary thing, and he still has some personal issues he needs to work through. Honestly, I might as well. So for now, I'll just be there for him. It's the most I can do, right?

VIVI: Hm. Tara says I'm too young, and dad says I can't have a boyfriend until I'm 18. Besides, boys are kinda dumb and sex obsessed, and girls are kinda dumb and boy obsessed. Does that change when you get older?

SOMA: Depends on the boy, Vivi. As for me, I've had my share of crushes in the past, but I'm single at the moment, and not exactly looking for anyone, female or male. Since we discovered our elements, since an incident involving possession and curses, I personally have been a bit...scrambled, mentally. I need to sort that out before pursuing anyone. But I only speak for me in that regard...Altair?

ALTAIR: ...I...don't know yet...I feel different around someone, but I couldn't tell you why. I don't get it, myself. I'll have to get back to you on that.

First, I want to send a hug to Kika. Now, Kika, what's better, chocolate or vanilla?

KIKA: Huh? A hug? Me? Ahah...that's really kind of you, sugarsweet20. Makes my day a little brighter, you know? Thanks.

As for the question, that's actually a really hard one to answer, because both are awesome. Hrmm...I suppose I really like chocolate, and...well, while I can't share it with Rose (a friend of mine--wolves can't eat chocolate and all), I...hm.

Let you in on a little secret. I have someone I'd like to give chocolates to. Small crush, I guess. Maybe someday I'll tell him.

(Question for my few followers: would anyone be interested in seeing the actual story behind this ask blog? I'm still writing it, but if anyone wants to look, send me a message and I'll give you the link to the Google Doc.)

Hey what's a normal day like for you all?

RIO: Well, for me, I generally get up very early alongside my mother, who is a doctor. She goes off to work and I'll get ready for school, and since it'a short distance, I often walk. I'll meet everyone at school--even Vivi, who'll drop by the high school during lunch--but otherwise school is fairly normal. After classes, I go to the shelter and help out there for a bit. Kika often comes with me, but sometimes she goes off to do other things. I'll often be there until later hours, at which point I'll walk to the hospital and see if mom's still working. The staff knows me, so sometimes if she's really busy, they'll let me rest in a break room or on-call room until mom's ready to bring me home. Of course, there are alterations, but that's what a normal day would look like.

KIKA: I'll admit, I can get a bit lazy. I'm lucky that I'm close to the school, or otherwise I'd show up late ever day. I don't get up until about 20 minutes until school starts, so I generally just throw some clothes on and run there (presumably with toast in my mouth, anime style). I'll run updates by the others at lunch time, in case there's anything important we need to do in regards to our magic or the other world sometime in the near future. After school, I either go with Rio to the shelter to help out, or I'll meet with Rose and we'll head to the alternate world together to do some exploring. My parents are honestly a little distant from me, so they often don't mind if I get home late for some reason. Often they'll go to bed before they even know if I'm home safe...well, that aside. Some of the more common things I do in the other world: sightsee, talk to the animals, practice magic, explore.

VIVI: I wake up early most of the time, whether I really want to or not. I often watch TV for a bit, or sometimes I'll cook something with Tara if she's around--so not on school days. At around 11:50, I'll go to the school to see the others for their lunch-time--I guess I better establish that I'm sort of home-schooled now? Wasn't always, but it's a long story. Anyway, after lunch, I have to wait until Tara's done with her classes, so I often bring a game console or something with me and I just play games and wait. When she's done, we often go to the shelter. I'm too young to officially volunteer, but as long as I'm with either Tara or Rio, they don't mind my presence. After some time passes, we go home, we have dinner as a family--our whole family is really close, which is apparently a bit rare--and I'll do some study and work stuff before I go to bed.

SOMA: I get up early, and I'm usually the one who has to wake Altair, so I tend to be consistent about the time I get up. Usually takes about 3 tries for him to actually get out of bed, so I get things done in the times in between. Once he's up and ready, we go to school together. If we can avoid our parents, that's good. Once at school, we often split up for classes--save 2, which we share--and at lunch we meet the others. Vivi often brings baked goods, which is pretty sweet of her. Once school is over, activities vary...honestly, my brother and I will go to considerable lengths to stay out of the house, but due to the circumstances that led to us obtaining our keys, Altair can't walk around much, so we usually just go to the lake and rest for a bit. Sometimes we fall asleep in the grass, though that's not particularly a safe thing to do. Still, we have creatures watching over us, so I guess it's no more dangerous than falling asleep in school. We often get home late. Sometimes mom will be up and drinking or something, but usually she's passed out somewhere in the house. Dad used to get mad at us for coming home late, but he stopped getting angry about it after a while and gets on our case about different things. Altair and I share a room with a bunk bed, so I take the top and sleep there.

ALTAIR: I don't like mornings.

SOMA: It shows.

ALTAIR: Um...I get up...change...sometimes I eat...I walk to school with Soma. Soma has some friendly classmates and a welcoming aura...I don't. I try to let him talk to them and not scare them off. People usually avoid me, unless they try to provoke me. It's a game of 'Chicken' with them sometimes: who can get closest to me and say the rudest thing without me punching them in the face. I wish they wouldn't, I rather hate them for it. As everyone else said, we meet at lunch. When classes end, Soma and I will stay out for a bit...usually by the lake, but there are other places, too, provided I can walk. My leg got a bit injured before I received my key, and it has been slow in healing. When we get home, either I'll fight with dad or I won't. It depends. Then I'll go upstairs and sleep...bottom bunk.

SOMA: Sometimes, if one of us has a nightmare or something, we'll wake the other and stay close by. You might think of it as 'twincest-y', but we don't really have reliable parents, so we need someone to turn to, right? We practically raised each other from age 9, onwards. This happens more often than either of us would like to admit, I think, so it's worth mentioning.

It's a life-or-death situation! You must switch butts with each other. Who gets whose butt?

VIVI: Really, I'd be just fine with anyone's butt in this group, everyone has a nice butt around here. *smacks Kika's*

KIKA: Oi, Vivi, don't do that!

RIO: Well...uh, I don't know? I don't really pay attention to that sort of thing. What kind of life or death situation are we even talking about, anyway?

VIVI: Assuming the twins just trade with each other--

KIKA: Assuming that, let's just hit randomize for us 3 and we can never speak of this again.

RIO: I'm okay with this idea.

Altair, what do you like to sing?

ALTAIR: Anything with good vocals, really, and with lyrics that aren't...brain-dead. Soma will sometimes join me...he's better than I am, though.

SOMA: *cough*BS*cough*

ALTAIR: *lightly punches Soma's shoulder* Generally, I sing in English, because certain languages can be hard to properly pronounce, even or especially when reading the romanizations. Not always, however.

How about a normal question that most people would ask???? What do you like to do in your free time? (Simple question)

ALTAIR: Bless your soul, miss.

RIO: I really enjoy music, I must say. I used to read a lot as well, but lately I find I don't really have the time to. Video games are also fantastic, and a great way to spend time. Of course, I also like volunteering down at the local shelter, which was where I first met Kika! Playing with the dogs there is great fun.

KIKA: I usually go out for a run or something, often with Rose, if I can. I also enjoy watching TV with my family, but if they're not around, sometimes I'll go to the other world--the ones that our elemental keys unlock--and just...explore. There's so much interesting stuff to find there! Plus, I've never minded risk or danger.

VIVI: Ah, honestly, I often play games--video or otherwise--with my older sister Tara. I'll sometimes spend time with my friends as well, though they're often busy. Writing music and playing guitar or piano is something of a hobby of mine, and I also enjoy watching TV, though sometimes that's difficult because I can get a bit restless.

SOMA: Generally, I spend a lot of time on my computer, avoiding my parents. I love to read, and sometimes write, if I feel particularly motivated. Other times, though, I'll go on a walk with Altair. Lately, too, I'll find a place to practice my elemental abilities. I think that has become a favorite free-time activity lately...there's something so captivating about elemental magic. Off topic, but I've always wanted to pick up a musical instrument, but my parents would never get me one...perhaps I'll save for one sometime?

ALTAIR: Eat, sleep, sing, draw, and spend time with Soma. Art's difficult, though, as is finding motivation to create it. Like Kikazuwa, I sometimes go to the other world to explore, and with Soma, I'll often practice magic.

You guys all really have to pee. It's at the point where your bladders are ready to burst, but there is only one toilet available. How do you establish who goes first?

RIO: You don't actually expect us to answer this, do you!?

KIKA: The Hunger Games.

VIVI: If we really had to pee, wouldn't it be hard to fight?

SOMA: Well, if you're that desperate, there's this thing called a 'backyard'...

RIO: S-Soma?!

VIVI: *Cackles*

ALTAIR: Next question, please, I don't even want to think about this anymore.

Hi, Rio! What do you mean with "when the whole thing started"?

RIO: Oh, you mean what I mentioned in my 'about' page, right? Well, as you can imagine, I didn't always have my fire key, and I was volunteering at the shelter before and after I learned about it. I guess what I meant was, I was working at the shelter at the time, and was actually walking one of the dogs by the lake when I ultimately learned of the elemental keys, though I wasn't aware that was what it was at the time, you know?

For a few more details (that may raise some questions, sorry about that), Kikazuwa has a partner who helped her obtain her key. That partner is a wolf named Rose. Kikazuwa, who can talk to animals now that she has her key, asked Rose to help find some other people with potential to wield elements, to which she accepted, and came to find us--and found me--in the guise of a husky. She ended up at the shelter, and I took her on a walk, which is part of what I did and still do when I volunteer at the shelter (the dogs need exercise, after all!). We ended up at a lake that is located not too deep into the forest, and I noticed my reflection in the water had a necklace on it that I was not currently wearing. That's "when the whole thing started" for me; when I first saw the key in my reflection in the water, which only happened because I was working at the shelter. I suppose I should've been more specific! I hope that answers your question!
