Overall opinion about the Election last night

As many of you know or at least heard about as of know Obama has been reelected as the 44th President of the United states. I would like to say by watching the election process last night that it did not seem as though Obama would win. For the reasons of all the electoral votes that Romney got when it first started off with having enormous leads in mostly the south and the middle east. It all came down to the Ohio and Florida for Obama to win and also getting California was a huge win with getting 55 electoral votes. This year I actually knew what was going on with both parties so it was good to know that my vote counted and the youth got out and voted also. Congratulations to Obama and Biden for winning this year election and also a good effort by Romney and Ryan for running a good race. Now we will see if we all made the right choice in keeping Obama in office for another 4 years with costs booming and it be hard to pay for school and other expenses.

Mass Incarceration: Why is not being talked about?

Many people or citizens I should say do not know about the impact of mass incarceration in today's society. Many African Americans get locked up for minor offenses or serious crimes but most of the time it is for drug offenses such as distribution or having more then an ounce on them. Billions of dollars on spent on prisons yearly and I do not think that is the right way to go because the money that is used on jails and prisons could be go towards better education as Romney and Obama keep saying in there argument and also better roads that are messed up. It is just a shame that both parties do not discuss these type of problems in there campaigns because it is something that impacts the world even behind close doors. So I think that both parties need to pay attention to Mass Incarceration because it is not something to just put something to the side. With this it only leads to mothers not being able to care for there kids or even father's not being around to tell there sons right from wrong and that could help lower the crime rate and push kids and youth to invest in a education rather then violence.

Is the youth going to sit around and not vote or actually vote?

In today's society many youth do not go out and vote because they feel like there voices will not be heard or that it is a waste of time but in reality it is very good to vote. The reasons why I see it is good to go out and vote because you do have a voice to what is it going on. With the option of going of the booth and checking a box to who you think is going to be president goes a long way because before people did not really get to vote until about the 19th amendment to the constitution. It gives citizens a right to go out and be involved in politics and be in tuned to what is happening around the world. Rather then having there faces stuck watching reality shows they could be learning about the president, vice president and other parties arguments.

I agree nett and it was seen in the debate where Obama was confident with what he was saying and attack Romney on his points of foreign policy and how he was in interviews saying this and that. Not sure of what he said but it seemed as though it stumped him a couple times with Romney not answering the question once again like the one about the military and coming back to it later.

The Final Debate!!

Obama is trying to continue to do the right thing and making the right choice by finishing the job he has started.He knows how to handle the forces and making peace.

I agree with you kathy because that Obama was put in a tough situation ever since the bush administration has ended and now it is his time to fix it. He wants to keep things tied with the allies of America and focus on building on the home.

Thoughts on the last debate dealing with Foreign policy

Overall I thoughts this debate was like the first and second debate because both candidates were trying to put there points on the table to why to vote for them on November 4th but also talk about foreign policy. Obama was mentioned his thoughts about not interfering with Israel because they have nuclear weapons and also with Pakistan because they have 100 nuclear weapons as well, It was just a debate based on the economy state of the U.S and one more outlook on why to vote for each candidate.

With this debate, I was looking for Obama to have more passion in his arguments and to be more confident in what he had to say. Throughout the debate I seen that Obama had strong arguments but sometimes he did not answer the question just like Romney did not answer the questions that were asked. The difference between this debate and the last one was Obama actually attacked Romney on saying that he may be different from Bush but that they have the same economic plan of raising taxes on the rich and the middle class and that only adds to the deficit. Another thing that stood out to me with Obama's debate today was the insightful points that he was making about how he was going to help the United States over the next four years and that was with having the U.S control our own energy rather then lowering prices and having increase in coal production. I just felt Obama won's this debate because he tried to answer the questions rather then beat around the question and answer another one.

So as I stated before the debate happened, I was looking for Romney to expanded on his five point plan of what he was going to do for the Untied states and what I got was nothing. The only thing I seen was him attacking Obama on the points that he already said in previous statements. It was also seen that Romney seemed a little bit nervous after Obama was stating facts that he said on 60 minutes about saying " When he was in front of a oil company, he said it would kill". Romney had no response to what Obama had stated and it showed throughout his arguments. I just feel as though Romney had a stronger debate then this one. Romney also kept on being a flip flooper and asking himself a question before answering the question that was being asked to him. I just felt he was all around the place and kind of unprepared for the way Obama started off the debate and how he kept it up throughout the debate. It started off good for Romney but once Obama started talking what Romney already it went from good to worse.

During the presidential debate

They keep going back forth bashing on each other. It’s thought while Obama develop his ideas on how they would benefit the economy of the country. He also talks a lot about how his plans would help college students get jobs as soon as they graduate. Romney keeps mentioning the plans without going into dept. with it.

Pre-Debate for Thursday

I will be looking for Obama to be less nervous in this debate and have more passion about his ideas and also with Romney on expanded with his five arguments about what he plans to do with the United States

Though many people did not believe that Democrat Joe Biden was going to do well in the debate, I believe Biden did awesome. He stood up for what he believed in and supported Obama all the way.  He made sure that he did his research and mentioned not only Obama’s perspective on that attack on Bingazi, but also spoke about Romney’s take on the situation. He mentioned that Obama wanted to end the war, but Romney believe that we should have left 30 thousand troops there. Him giving perspectives from both candidate made him a much stronger debater then Ryan. There was a moment during the debate where Biden was very passionate about what he was saying. He told Ryan to stop talking about how much he cares for America, and Show it. That really opened my eyes towards how much he really cares about his people. He wants what is best for us. Him and Obama. They don’t just say it, they actually show it.

I agree with you nett, overall in my mind I think that the debate is still close on the point of Romney having a good debate last Thursday and with Biden having a good debate this week. Biden explained his points very well with good arguments and good reasons why Obama reasons were the right one while romeney's were not. I will also be looking forward to other debates as well
