baddogluke:
Luke did his best to not lean into the touch, still tensed and concerned as they walked. The boy nodded. “Some guards thought I was runnin but I got away.” He grumbled a little, glancing at the other.
“I’ll make sure they know not to touch you.” Whether or not Luke had actually been looking for the phoenix, he was under Kian’s protection. When they arrived at his house he noticed the brick through the window. Tick Tock. He glanced sideways at Luke instinctively – knowing it wasn’t about him before a possibility occurred to him. “Fuck.” He muttered, “C’mon.” He’d have to deal with that after his arm had been tended to. Finally under the light in the bathroom, it became more obvious that Kian’s shoulder was where the issue was and he struggled just getting his shirt off to reveal the blackened wound.
