Two hearts beat until one breaks
AU I want: John drunkenly casting a spell with someone, not knowing that the result is that the two of them become intrinsically linked. If he gets hurt, they feel it too. If he feels ill, so do they. If he gets drunk, so do they. If he dies..
The same happens vice versa.
How can he be reckless with himself when it would harm someone he cares for?

~ Gabriel ~
( Wasn’t it a joy to interact with self-righteous bastards who gave exactly nothing about the beings which protected humanity since the beginning of their kind? Not saying with that that Gabriel didn’t like humanity; fact actually was that he was madly in love with the ‘squishy little creations’. But even he could acknowledge that some examples could be rude to the point of being o b n o x i o u s. Not un- like certain brothers who caused him in regular intervals migraine any way. On top of that, it wasn’t even like the messenger was the best angel when it came to debates; he mostly was an expert in repeating what he had been ordered to repeat, and then being (mentally and physically) as annoying as possible until the receiver had no other chance than to accept his message. Sometimes it even involved, well, fists, but even when the blond man opposed to him already had minus five points in his books, his patience was still there. He had dealt with more stubborn people. )
“We do what we can on our side, JOHN CONSTANTINE. You are not the only soldier involved in the war.”
( That he was sadly the most important one, Gabriel simply dropped for now. Like he just withheld that no one had an idea where Manny was, and the Host very much disliked that fact. )
“Your g u a r d i a n a n g e l got reassigned. From now on, it is me who is your ‘little angel on the shoulder’, the Messenger himself. Is that all why you called me, or are there more important topics to speak about?”
Gabriel himself. It was almost hilarious that they would send one of their top messangers to come and bother him. Perhaps that meant he was one step closer to redemption, thus, one step up on the Angel ladder. He would ask about that later, for now there were other important things.
"-- So you're pretty much going t'be just as useless as Manny. Good t'know, I just like t'know what I'm working with since I'm doin' all the heavy liftin' down here."
Admittedly, he was prodding. Looking for spots that irritated the Angel because he found nothing more amusing that God's ever patient children losing their shit over something. Manny had done it a couple of times and that had been satisfying enough but if he could get Gabriel to do so it would be all the more enjoyable. An icebreaker of sorts.
"-- Angel on my shoulder, right. Does that mean you'll actually show up when I'm callin' you? Or just whenever you feel like spreadin' those little wings of yours?"
"Hello John."
”— Let me guess, y’need somethin’?”
~Manny~
“No I don’t have any control of you. You have your free will. But with you working, you get your chance at redemption. And I can help you with that.” Manny frowned as the smirk on John grew. “Take the day. But I hope that you have the sense to be back at it tomorrow.”
"-- Right right. Thing is, mate, I have to actually live long enough t'earn redemption. If I don't rest once in a while, I won't."
Not with his sanity intact, at the very least and he wasn't about to give himself issues with that on top of everything.
"-- You're an angel, you don't understand that there are certain things humans need. Rest is one of them."
~Demon?~
“All right, fuck’s sake, John; Who knows, maybe y’can drink me pretty, then. I’ll pretend I’m not real fer a bit if you give me a fuckin’ swig or six, yeh?”
Johnny sticks his hand out for the bottle expectantly.
There's a hesitation, gaze flicking from the bottle in his hand to the apparent demon. Did he really want to know if he was real? If it made contact with something, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. If not, then he had officially lost it.
"-- Fine. Fuckin' have it. I don't care."
Passing it over, John pushed it into the demons hand and let go, not sure what to expect.
~Agent~
Any temptation to storm off that she might’ve previously enter- gained was culled by his condescending suggestion that she walk away. It was a stubborn and immature response to the suggestion, but she wasn’t about to let some blood-covered idiot spouting pet names tell her what to do.
“No, we don’t both know that who haven’t done anything illegal, and, technically, walking around covered in blood constitutes a disruption of the peace.” Scully ignored the claim about demons, focusing instead on the tangible wrongs that were being committed. Now is not the time to get into an argument with a crazy person regarding the exist- ence of demons. God knows she did that enough of that sort of thing when she butted head with Mulder at work.
There was a roll of his eyes the moment she mentioned disturbing the peace, arms crossing across his bare -and very cold- chest. This was getting ridiculous, he just wanted to get back to the mill house and rest. Today had been exhausting enough without this agent giving him a hard time.
"-- You ain't gonna arrest me, you're not on duty and I don't think y'want t'be writing up a report about some poor sod who just wants t'get home. So why don't we just leave it at that, yeah?"
His patience for the situation was getting thinner and thinner and he wasn't sure how much longer he would wait there without just walking away. It wasn't like she had formally arrested him, so it wouldn't be considered resisting arrest.

~???~
“–I’m not.”
An eyeroll. Of course she sounded completely ridiculous, babbling on about people being able to see her.
“–Sod it this demon on the run is more of a problem than some piss-arse human. You–“ The woman turns to the sound of the off-handed comment. ”–If you see a rabid-mangey thing of a dog…don’t go near it. My exorcism’s a bit rusty.”
Under most circumstances John would just assume that her talk about demons was all a part of her drunken mind but with the rising darkness claiming things as of late, he couldn't leave that to chance.
"-- So what is it? Hell hound? Black shuck? What're you dealin' with? I might be able to lend a hand."
His exorcisms weren't as rusty, usually he could get his wanted result and if not, he could just kill the damned thing. Unlike a human possession.
"-- My exorcism skills ain't rusty."

~Fallen~
“Jeesh, kid, that would have been a feast!”
The fallen chuckled at the thought ― such a tiny detail, and yet such possibilities! ― “I can practically hear the rumours; ‘Legendary mage fucked up, innards scraped from walls upon invitin’ the First’.“ He then concluded, and instead of putting the mask back from where he had gotten it, the relic was simply dropped to the side.
Israfel barely even took notice of how the ceramic splintered into shards upon contact with the ground, and just went on looking around the room; two fingers trailing over a row of bookspines as he passed them, careful not to cross the sigil on the ground.
Ah. Very well. So that boy really thought he could just lure him in with hopes of easy prey, and then proceed to write it off as practise? “…Y’ain’t very clever, are you?”
There was a visible wince as the ceramic hit the ground, that had been a powerful artifact, hopefully he could somehow repair it because it could come in useful one day.
He honestly doubted the First would have bothered with him, he wasn't enough of a threat to warrent him clawing his way out of hell.
"-- I'm clever enough, everyone makes mistakes. What do I have t'do t'get you t'sod off?"
Depending on what the Angel wanted, he would do what he could to get him out of the millhouse. While it honestly didn't have much he could imagine an Angel would be interested in, he didn't want to take any risk.

[– Since it’s Munday, here is some Pagan-y mun stuff. 1. My altar. - My patron god and goddess are Cernunnos and Gaia, hence lots of deer and nature things. 2. Another shot of my altar. 3. My book of shadows. 4. The first page from my book of shadows. 5. My tarot deck. - This is what I use when I do tarot on this site. I am also working on learning cartomancy (using playing cards for similar readings). 6. Vial of various protection herbs. - I usually carry this with me for safety reasons. Myself and my girlfriend have a pouch with the same mix hanging up on the front door. 7. My collection of stones/metals. - Citrine, quartz, smoky quartz, rose quartz, desert rose, onyx, dalmation jasper, red jasper, malachite, tigers eye, blue tigers eye, blue lace agate, moss agate, botswana agate, carnelian, hematite, serpentine, dumortierite, snowflake obsidian, goldstone, lodestone, amethyst, howlite, aventurine, ruby zoisite, iron, pyrite, copper. 8 + 9. ~Being~
Constance since childhood had problems with switching between essential food and ingrained thirst for blood. Looking at John, crimson sticky fluid in his veins, felt like a child with diabetes looking at the candy store display case. Sweets were almost on the doorstep, and at the same time, so inaccessible. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of nicotine and blood, blinked a few times. Indeed, she was staring at him like a ravenous animal. Her intention wasn’t to scare or make her customer disconcerted. ❝ No, no, sir. Sorry. ❞ In the blink of an eye rose from her chair, silently like a ghost, in a split second stood in front of the window. Sixth sense tells her that this man was familiar with things out of the ordinary. ❝ This town is full of odd events and creatures. ❞
There was no way John missed the expression, the hunger, he knew when he was being considered prey and he wasn't about to let that go lightly.
"-- So, what are you then? Gotta say, you have impressive self control."
His voice was even, as if he was still discussing the things within the store. He had no reason to agitate her, he wasn't looking for a fight.
"-- I can tell when I'm bein' mentally sized up for dinner, love, so spill. I'm not here t'cause you any trouble."
