The last 2 years i have skipped mermay because thats the month all my uni assignments are due, but I have Falin Brain Worms now so this year I managed to do a fully rendered drawing! wah!

This year a local con was scheduled for the 13th of april so of course I had to get my Jade cosplay out again! It was pretty funny seeing people walk past and say things like "wow homestuck in 2024?" Sorry, it altered my brain chemistry at age 14 so its actually hometuck till I DIE

will you ever do lagoona, draculaura and cleo repaints? if yes will you use the SS1 dolls or other lines?

Yo! I actually do have plans for all 3 of them! I like multiple pieces of their outfits (I have ideas to modify them) so I'll be combining a couple different dolls, I actually just bought a second hand monster ball Cleo the other day!

Cleo - Core and Monster ball combo (love her hair and head piece)

Lagoona - Core and SS1 combo

Draculaura - Core refresh (when its available in Australia)

I might change my mind but for now its just a matter of waiting for them to pop up on second hand marketplaces, then I'll do my own ooak dolls with the left over bodies to hopefully sell too!

AI is producing ‘fake’ Indigenous art trained on real artists’ work without permission

One Indigenous artist said the process of using their art to train AI models that competes with them for work is a ‘very colonial mindset’.

If you thought AI couldn't get any worse, it just did. Every part of this technology from its creation to its users, is being used to exploit and harm people. Anyone who tries to justify the use of this technology in its current form is absolutely evil.

Always do your research before buying art. If you know any First Nations artists who have their own online shops, please link them and support them if you can.

What material do you use to dye Frankie’s skultimate secrets fit plus on their prosthetic leg?

Since they're just a display doll and the outfit won't be washed, I just used a mixture of acrylic paint and water to dye the outfit!

For the leg and accessories, I painted them black first and then went over it with silver rub 'n buff

Q: what paint do you use when repainting a doll face?

A: I use acrylic paint! my favourite brand is jo sonja

If anyone was wondering, you can indeed remove the fake plants from the zing minecraft pots! Will update when I've found a suitably minecraft lookin plant to put in it

I watched the boy and the heron and was immediately possessed by the urge to make these ! Its been a while since I've busted out the polymer clay so these are my rough little prototypes (and just sealed with mod podge since my gloss glaze has long since dried out rip) hoping to make more in the new year to sell at some local conventions!
