actually its ok for whitepine not having a grand finale

#whitepine spoilers #whitepine #this was never a show about fighting a big bad dragon and winning. i think this is more akin to a social commentary than anything #where things just happen. we see ivory getting more comfortable around the estate.#we see multiple childrens of hemlocke affirming their identities #we see butlers and maids having fun at the beach #quiet moments like these are what made whitepine whitepine #its just very gothic in the literally sense. as in gothic fiction #everyone is trapped in the mansion until the last moment #zombie being the owner cannot let go a single speck of his wealth (and bound by the grief of his implied late wife)#his children wear his surname and being his properies despite they also have decent wealth (that comes from their surnames)#the butlers and maids serve the house #they all just cant leave the house #it is a tragedy from the start #it doesnt have to end in a happy moment #well it did end in a happy moment with ivory and seraptor surviving #but it doesnt have to end in the death of the dragon #... well it did end in the death of the house didnt it?#this is why i love whitepine. i love when my fiction is nuanced #kiku_text
