My feelings exactly
i hear a lot about period cycles becoming in sync when women spend a lot of time together, but do they just average out or is there one cycle that’s just like the alpha cycle and makes the other one conform
I would actually like to know the answer to this
As a bio major and female I can confirm: there’s one alpha cycle that others conform to. The female with the most estrogen is typically the ‘alpha female’ and the cycle that’s followed by others. I’ve had friends go ‘wow this is so weird my period came like a week early’ and I’ve been like ‘lmao sorry my b’
ALL HAIL ALPHA FEMALE
Interviews &Interning.
Soo after weeks of waiting for call backs, working endlessly on DICAS applications, I had (what I think was an AMAZEBALLZ ) interview with my number once choice where I can pick a specialty tract hopefully in senior living or weight loss management. So lets all keep our fingers crossed I get in on April 12th.
THIS IS SO TRUE
where’s the one where you have to pull it right out of your butt that is the absolute core of the long-hair experience
i was REALLY WEIRDED OUT by the hair in my buttcrack and i’m so glad that someone else acknowledged it because dear god was that weird
Part of my hair was teal in college and my BFF told me that she knew we were close because she found a teal hair in her butt.

I want a mural of this
To women with daughters hoping to raise subservient domestic slaves: Hand your daughter a hammer before you give her a kitchen knife. Or better yet, let her choose her own weapon. Teach her how to manage a bank account before you enlist her to domestic service. Do not leave the dishes for her. Equip her with a strong voice, so that she may speak over those who may feel they know her place better than she does. So no one can make her decisions for her. Allow her to choose: her own colours, her own way, her own likings. She may not like dresses after all, what’s the harm? Encourage her to be independent, to pursue her dreams. You were not born believing that your body is a factory, so why would you impose the idea on one of your own? If you tell your daughter that she is in any way less than a man, the problem is that she will eventually believe you.
I don’t usually discuss the story behind a piece of writing, but this one stands out.
My parents had a few families over for dinner recently and I wanted to help in the kitchen to the best of my ability. So I was putting clean dishes away, clearing out the ones from inside the sink, etc.
As I did this, one of the ladies said to me from behind me: “It’s wonderful that you’re helping your mother out, but don’t you dare do this when you’re married, or else your wife will never do any work! ”
It could have been a joke, but it wasn’t. Because she proceeded to cite examples of wives who did not do “what they were supposed to do.” Essentially, she was telling me that it’s perfectly fine to help my mother in the kitchen, but unacceptable to do the same for my wife when I’m married.
The problem with this is that she has two young daughters of her own, and she is raising them with this backwards mentality that men should be excluded from domestic work simply on the basis of biology, which is completely unacceptable.
Boys aren’t princes and girls aren’t slaves. There is nothing more special about a man which puts him above a woman. There is something incredibly wrong with this mentality, the fact that it persists and is being instilled into children from a young age.

Not all men!
Yes but enough men that every girl is terrified of smiling to that guy on the bus or talking with the boy in the coffee shop. Every girl has been walking late at night at one point and been afraid of who might be following her. Every girl has referred to someone as a “creep” and every girl has refused a drink from someone she doesn’t know.
Not all men.
But enough men that all women are now afraid of most men. It’s gotten so bad that we have to be afraid of even telling you we are afraid. We can’t ask that you please stop talking to us. Because if we do we run the risk of being labeled a “stuck up bitch” and blamed for murders and rapes in which we are the victims.
So we speak to you with body language that we hope you’ll understand. We cross our legs and look out the window and wear giant headphones that are giant signs that subtly read “DON’T TALK TO ME!” But you insist on ignoring those signs because you have it in your head that our body language doesn’t mean anything. That our bodies aren’t our bodies.
Not all men. You can start fucking saying that when all women can stop being afraid. But that’s not gonna happen if every man a women opens up to about this issue dismisses her by saying “Not all men.”

On the eve of the Boston Marathon, we at Spartan Race, along with the country, pay tribute to all the victims and survivors of last year’s attack. Pictured are athletes and citizens who lived through the events and won’t let tragedy grind them to a halt. This series shot by Robert X. Fogerty for Dear World captures the resilience of those affected that can’t be dampened. Please visit their site to learn more about these people’s stories and pay tribute.
Boston is as strong as community as the world has. We are proud to be part of it. On Marathon Monday, we will be there and along with the rest of the world, we will be watching a city recover as one.
The night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of him, and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. “I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it” she said. “I think that’s what he would have wanted”. -Not sure what is more honorable: Being married to this faithful wife to the end or the Marine standing next to the casket watching over them both.
