Here’s what we learned from swaggered four piece, Love Malison that prove they’re worthy of your attention:
Love Malison ooze charisma - throughout the set the band constantly reminds us that punk rock never went away, it just explored other interests. Disguised as a pop outfit, the band persistently plays kiss chase with their heavier influences. Standout songs like “Flow” and “Cabin Fever” seem designed to be played LOUD and would not appear out of place to any post lockdown festival line-up.
They’re surprisingly humble - it can be difficult to love the attention as much as these guys without coming across as arrogant. Love Malison’s performance is 100% genuine and no surprise that the venue’s lighting loves them as much as they love it. Ed Francis (vocalist) and his obvious showmanship never overshadowed the other members and highlights just how much being able to play as a group in these turbulent times means to these guys.
It’s raw, energetic, sexy and we love it!
