apologies if i missed this while looking around the website, but what is the irp opinion on characters having children without a (known) mate? is it shameful if under certain circumstances (i.e. believing that the other partner may be an outsider or from the other clan)?
Hello - this is a good question I don't believe we've addressed on the website!
Having children with a cat outside the Kingdom is not forbidden - however, doing so and having a romantic connection with a cat from the rival Kingdom would certainly be frowned upon and treated as reason to doubt the cats involveds loyalty.

Hi, saw the news about having a lot of apothecary applications. Have you had any for Prior/Deputy? Are those positions lineage-based like the monarchs?
We have not had any applications specifically for the role of Prior! And to confirm, no, it is NOT lineage based. The Sovereign picks the Prior from their Knights.
Hello! I saw you had a lot of applications for apothecary. Could our character still be accepted as a knight or other rank if someone else gets the apothecary position? Or should I submit another application? I am fine with my character not being an apothecary, but there was no real way to indicate a second choice on the form.
Yes - if we liked your application overall but just went with someone else's idea for the specific role you applied for, we would still contact you and discuss where we could go from there, whether that is adapting the character you applied for or coming up with a new one for a different rank.
So basically - always apply for your first choice and don't worry too much! You still have a good chance of making it into the server.
Would characters in the kingdoms ever refer to the kingdoms in a shortened form? Do they always say “The Kingdom of the Vale/Waves” or is there a shorter/more conversational way to name their group?
The shorter description would simply be The Vale or The Waves! e.g. "I'm from The Vale," "She's a Knight of the Waves."
The Kingdom of the Waves is described as being deeply religious and doing daily prayer, do they have any memorized scriptures or sayings? Songs of prayer that are passed down orally? Or is prayer a more individual thing? Do they pray twice a day on their own time, or do they come together for group prayer?
There are hymns which are passed down in the Wave Kingdom, yes - and prayers are led in groups. All the specific details will be made available to you within the server! Something that is more individual is the sacramentum, for example, which is a rite of passage every young Wave cat goes through.
Hello! How many applications have you gotten so far? And for which ranks, if you care to share? So excited!
We have had 9 so far! I will say we have had a lot of interest in Apothecary/Apothecary's novice, and not so much in the other ranks, so if that helps anyone make their decision then we are looking for some potential Priors (deputy) and Knights! :)
I just submitted my character and i made them join the Kingdom of Waves as a tiny little kitten -- they're practically Kingdom-born as they were very tiny. But I JUST saw that the only requirement was to make the character a Clan-born :( i'm sorry i didn't notice it before !! Should I resubmit? Or can I rework it later if I manage to get in? Thank you for reading i'm sorry this happened!!
Hello! Any applications that we're interested in accepting, we will have further conversations with people about their character concepts to help them fit the lore. Think of your application as your pitch for your idea - which, once you're in the server and have access to more info, to other peoples ideas, you can refine at that point.

There’s an option for new member or existing member, will existing members take priority over new members if there are multiple applications for a high rank?
The primary means by which we will choose our high ranks is;
The quality of the RP sample provided
How well the OC backstory/concept fits in alongside existing Wave lore
If we are unable to decide based on these things alone, then yes slight favour may be given to existing members who have already proven themselves as active participants. New applicants will still be highly considered though!
Is there an end date for the applications?
There is not an end date set at the moment, we're hoping to accept 8-10 new applicants so when we are nearing that point we will announce a deadline for final applications, giving a final week for any last minute entries.
