Mammon
One of the Goetic demons, but does not dwell in Hell. This information was shared to me by him and is also my own experiences through working with this magnificent infernal deity.
Other Names: Amon, Ammon, Amun, Amun-Ra, Amen
History: As with all of the Goetic Demons, Mammon is an ancient god who was known as Amon (also mentioned in the Goetia) who is no other than the Egyptian god Amun, deity of the Sun. Before Amun was demonized by the monotheists, he was the “Hidden One” of the Ogdoad, and later when he evolved into Amun-Ra, he became the deity of the Sun as well. Mammon is an Aeonic deity (a god who has great creative powers) and is highly benevolent; lovingly bestowing his warmth upon the world.
He was the god represented by the Golden Calf in Canaan; this kind of bull is Mammon’s Bull due to the gold. If it was Moloch’s it would be Brass and if it was Samael’s it would be made of Iron. Historically brass bulls were made both in Tunisia for sacrificing and in Roman Times to incarcerate christians while being heated up (Moloch). The Iron Bulls of Samael were met on Banners and flag-masts of War.
Mammon’s Palace is a pocket realm in Earth. Although he is not located in Hell in any of the three Kingdoms, he is on excellent terms with Amaymon and Lucifer. Mammon’s Palace is vast like a city, supported with large crowds of goblinoid assistants (looking a lot like humanoid foxes), as well as some fairy-looking creatures (mostly female or multi-gendered) that are very kind and well-mannered. There are pavements of gold here and great opulence in decorating.
Rulerships: money, wealth, the Sun, and abundance (all types of physical abundance of goods).
Numbers: 4 and 8
Metal: Gold
Element: Earth
Colours: Gold and “dollar” green
Appearance: A very tall and beautiful golden minotaur wearing a “Pharaoh-esque” golden skirt. He has golden eyes as well, and he smiles often.
Personality: Mammon is very generous, compassionate, easy-going, and giving. He favors people who work towards realizing their dreams, and throws more fortune upon them. He is also observant of proper behavior and dislikes those who disrespect him; lack of respect won’t gain one any favors. He often smiles and is radiant and benevolent, soothing those that visit him in his palace. When he does have guests, he is very hospitable and hosts a feast of great opulence for them. Mammon also greatly enjoys the happiness that people have when they spend money, and he deeply values the sharing of wealth to others. He promotes abundance and opportunity to all people.
Mammon teaches that cash must flow and be distributed all across society so that the complex dynamics that have to do with progress and industry can be achieved in a beneficial way. Mammon hates to see all the mismanagement and the corruption that takes place in his name. He hates all kinds of weapons and if any wishes to speak with him, no weapons of any type should be present. He also despises theocratic regimes and authoritarian governments. When creating an altar for him, keep it away from any sorts of weapons and religious books.
How to call him: Speak to Mammon as you would with any other god, be polite and considerate. Contact him through telepathically speaking in your mind, directing the words to him (you can do this verbally, but if malicious spirits hear, they may pretend to be him). Try to dress formally for any of the Goetia, for they are divine and royalty.
What he can do: Help with finances, gaining all sorts of physical wealth, causing generosity in the hearts of others, advice on how to preserve money, charity support.
Offerings:
Gold foil in oil (or any gold), total of 8 dollars (any combinations of dollars that add up to 8), dollar quarters, bits of emerald/ruby/silver (these can be even from ore, gold or silver jewelry, golden bull statues, nutmeg, sweets dipped in honey, chili chocolate, cod roe or caviar, good quality wine. Incense of Benzoin + Cinnamon + Basil leaves (ground) + Frankincense. *do not place his altar near any weaponry, books on war or religion, or books on conspiracies.
