Hello Merlin fans!

Yes, it’s official, we’re back again for our 8th year filling the hole, greasing the wheels, turning the knobs, and getting ready for a hot, kinky summer of filthy PWP goodness. We hope you’ll join us this August!

What is Kinkalot, you ask?

Kinkalot is an annual porn fest run by and for the BBC Merlin fandom, following in the footsteps of such fabulous forebears as Pornalot and the late, great Summer Pornathon! Kinkalot celebrates both our love of Merlin and our love of porny fanworks. It runs during the month of August, with the aim of being a short, fun, kinky fest for the entire Merlin fandom. Any and all pairings/moresomes, kinks, and types of fanwork are welcome (with the exception of GenAI).

How does it work?

This year, you will have the option to sign up for different parts of the fest depending on your preferred participation level.

🅱️ BINGO ONLY: You earn points by filling prompts on an individual bingo card.

🗓️ WEEKLY CHALLENGES ONLY: You earn points by entering (and hopefully placing in!) weekly challenges.

🏆 BOTH: You earn points by filling prompts AND entering weekly challenges.

Regardless of which option you choose, you’ll need to join our Kinkalot Discord Server (18+ only), where you’ll be assigned a team of fellow participants to chat with and cheer on throughout the fest.

How do I get involved?

Due to the nature of the fest, participants must be 18 years or over at the time of sign-up. 

You’ll also need to make sure you read the RULES and FAQ so that you understand the minimum participation requirements in order to take part. 

If that sounds good to you, then head on over and fill out the sign-up form to get started! Sign-ups close 31 July 2026.

Non-participants are also welcome to come and hang out with us on Discord (18+ only) throughout the month to cheer on the participants or feast your eyes on some of the wonderful entries as they’re posted.

The second of our Kinkalot 2023 Bonus Challenges - this challenge is open to EVERYONE.

Welcome to Week 2, Kinkalotians! If you’ve always wanted to participate in the infamous Kink Link but couldn’t because you weren’t signed up, well, this is your chance. That’s right, it’s time for our old fan favourite from @pornalot, but with a fresh, new Kinkalot twist! And this year everyone who wants to can join in and link your kinks! Rather than assigning you a prompt ourselves, this time we’re going to let you build your own, like a porntastic game of mad libs. Your entry for this week must incorporate a toy from Column A, an act from Column B, and an Alternate Universe from Column C. That’s TOY + ACT + AU = PROMPT. Sounds simple? Bonus Challenge #1 - Bare Basics

The first of our Kinkalot 2023 Bonus Challenges - this challenge is open to EVERYONE.

Our bonus challenge for Week 1 is all about the bare necessities.

For writers, that means dialogue only! Your challenge is to get us hot and bothered without the use of dialogue tags, description or action of any kind (and yes, text format is welcome for this challenge!).

For artists, we want to see EITHER line art OR monochrome creations. It doesn’t have to be black and white, so long as you pick one colour and stick with it. The choice is yours in this week’s bonus challenge!

Just remember; for this challenge less is more!
