After dropping his luggage- when did he even pack it..?- the boy figured he might as well scout the island a little. There wasnāt much else to do, really.
It was strange, seeing all these people he didnāt know everywhere around him. He came to the thought that he must have gotten too used to the everyday life at Raimon Academy, where everyone looked somewhat more- usual? There were quite some interesting-looking individuals about, here.Ā
āā¦.!ā Coming to a slow stop in his tracks- right in the middle of the hallway he had just absentmindedly walked into- to blink in thought; What about his friendsā¦? Whereād they gone, did they even know he was gone- Was he goneā¦? Or had he been here beforeā¦?
āā¦What is this placeā¦?ā
He had to admit it- he was lost, already. Only barely having entered the huge building- an impressive one, for sure- he likely forgot to memorize his way in, lost in thought. And so, with no other option left, he swallows the nervosity that had boiled up in his throat, and starts to try get the attention of whichever bypasser first shows the kindness of giving him a gaze or smile- mildly ashamed, of course, as talking to total strangers that seem to perfectly know their way is pretty embarassing.
Keeping in mind the herbal remedy he had used in his own tea to calm himself down after the nightmare (apparently, there seemed to be an influx of the bad dreams at the school of late, and as a medical advisor of the school he found this very worrying and distressing) to himself so he could offer the beverage to students in his office or perhaps ask for it to be offered in the cafeteria, Desmond set off on his usual early rounds of the school - though he knew heād have to go back to the office when it officially was unlocked, he liked to actually ponder the hallways themselves.
That way, if anyone injured themselves before the nurseās office officially āopenedā, he could be there on the scene. Speaking of which, the nurse he was supposed to be working under hadnāt shown up yetā¦he didnāt mind working alone, but he honestly thought someone would be a little more quick to take up the job.
Inner musings aside, the all-too familiar sight of a student standing in the middle of the hustle and bustle, utterly and obviously lost - diverts his attention. Hm. Well, itās clear any attempts to check up on the students early arenāt going to slide, for he canāt just leave the student in need standing there!
The ice mask of seriousness and professionalism is lowered, just a bit, to extend a faint warm smile in the studentās general direction.
"Do correct me if I am wrong, butā¦you look like you could use a bit of assistance direction wise? This place and how spacious it is can get to many a new student here, certainly, so itās a common thing - Ā if you should need help, I would be happy to provide it."
''..!'' Blinking as he's approached by the other male- He must be a teacher, right..? With a look like that, there's no way he's not. Whoever this person was, he'd probably best not make a fool of himself now.
''P--please...! I'm--..I'm not sure how I got here, and I don't know this place at all...Could you tell me where- no, what this place is, sir...?''
