“Not exactly. Though, what girl hasn’t dreamt of their wedding? I’ve always had a specific dream, so I suppose Gabriel will just have to adjust to that, rather than me adjust to his dream.” Of course they wouldn’t actually end up at the point of marriage, after all, Gabriel was a bit of a dick, and it wasn’t like they were actually dating. “But yes, I was born and raised in Turkey, and moved to America when I was about fifteen.” The brunette explained easily.

I have one now…” He went on to explain all the specs and details that I am too lazy to look up, but suffice it to say that it was powerful… and fast. “That’s a deal. I can make a mean martini,” he told her with a nod, though that wasn’t the only drink he could make. He could do all his favorites… and a couple that the ladies always seemed to enjoy. He laughed. “If he comes yelling, I’ll just remind him that I replaced the clothes for you because I am clumsy, yes, but a gentleman first and foremost.” Peter Parker… who was that… one of the super heroes? Something like that. “Maybe your name will become more common after people meet you,” he suggested, giving her an all too charming smile. 

“Very warm and inviting. I think you’d fit in, you seem warm.” She smiled brightly to him as they walked towards the store together, her hand holding onto his arm. Much more warm and inviting than her fiance. Oh god, why couldn’t her deal be with someone friendly, someone who seemed lovable? It would have been so much easier. Rarely books with recipes, instead it was eyeballing everything and just throwing everything into a big pot. “I guess it’s not that weird, it’s not like I have a sign on my head saying I’m turkish.” the brunette teased gently, continuing to try out the different dishes on the table. Nodding her head as Charlotte confirmed she’d meant the resort, she was rather relieved. The street you grow up on is also your family, so you might have ten sets of aunts, twelve sets of grandparents, and so many cousins you won’t be shocked if your best friend is suddenly dating the guy you called cousin since you both were in the kiddie pool in your diapers together in the heatwave.” She explained, smiling at it. She did miss the community though. Did miss feeling like she belonged. “Yeah? What was your first car then? Was it red? I feel like everyone had a red car for their first one.” Maybe it was true, or maybe it was just how it seemed at times. Tait nodded at her description, knowing Elizabeth would never describe him that way, not even before. It was sweet. “Oh … that’s a little disappointing. Were you hoping for something more romantic or are you more pragmatic too?”  He flashed a slight smile, so she didn’t think there was anything malicious in the question. He couldn’t imagine asking his lover in such a pragmatic way. After all, he might not be all intensely romantic, he wanted his Elizabeth to know it meant something, or everything as the case may be. 

“What? This is your party?” Tait had enough social grace to look genuinely embarrassed. “I’m … I didn’t realize. I’m sorry. I was just … I … Well ummm… congratulations?” It was a little weak. Elizabeth was right. He needed to get out in the world more. 

“I guess you could say I’m a hopeless romantic at my heart. Yet, when I’m with him, it doesn’t matter as much, all that matters is that we’re both happy, and let’s be real... He can make it up to me during the wedding. Make it a sweet, romantic little event, with just our families and closest friends, at the beach in Turkey.” Even if it wasn’t her dream with Gabriel, she did want to have a sweet romantic wedding at some point. With the love of her life, of course. Not some guy paying for her education just so he didn’t seem like a single ass. 

Nodding her head, she couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Yeah, though I like to say it’s Gabriel’s party. I just insisted on costume party, so I had an excuse to be a mermaid.” She messed about, grinning as she did. “Thank you, though there’s nothing to apologize for. It’s a lot of people around here, we can’t always know who everyone is.”
