“They gave me everything. They equiped me with everything… but they made me 5′7. Just perhaps 2 or 3 inches too short to be James Bond.”

When I heard about my Oscar nomination the other day, I was sat at breakfast with my three boys, trying to get them ready for the school run. Of course, them all being young kids, they had no idea what a huge deal it was for me. So whilst I sat there giggling like an idiot and getting a little teary-eyed, they just looked at me like “what the fuck, dad?” Not quite as exciting as some other nomination stories, I’m sure, but it feels like an accurate summary of my life.
Hi, I’m Benedict Cumberbatch, and I’m still giggling like an idiot and getting teary-eyed. @hfrpstarters
.
Congratulations on your nomination, mate! It’s well deserved, I’m surprised you don’t have an entire bunch of those statues lined up on your shelves. And the kids... well, they most certainly know how to humble us, don’t they? My daughter isn’t even a year old yet, and she’s already shown me what an utter baboon I can be most the time, all for the purpose of entertaining her with silly dancing, but still... How are you celebrating the nomination, do you have anything planned with the family?

I know its superbowl sunday and all of america is super excited - and really, I get it. Somewhat at least. Though like the grandmother that is living in my internally, I am much more excited about the prospect of finishing the scarf I’ve been knitting all day. Wish me luck that I finish it before the game so I can pretend to be a normal person? @hfrpstarters
.
I’m coming in late to wish you good luck on finishing before the game, but maybe I’m popping in just in time for the most important question: did you wrap it up before Superbowl? Quite honestly, I’m more interested in hearing more about the scarf design and how it turned out than anything related to the game.

Tell me, darling... how difficult do you estimate it would be for you to doodle with the pre-set theme? Egyptian, for example. I may have just gotten an idea on another hobby we could do together.

was this when you were filming game of thrones? i’ve seen a few episodes and the scenery was always so breathtaking. looked incredibly cold, but beautiful. that’s a really lovely bucket list item though. being able to grow old with the one you love and raise a family together – makes my heart all warm. do you and emilia only have one child or have i missed something major?
.
Ye-yeah, lots of bloody damn freezing days and nights filming the Thrones, and then exploring during off time to catch and see the lights. Worth all frozen body parts, for sure. And thanks for your support! We’ve only got one child for now, yeah, an 8 months old daughter. Feels just like yesterday when we’ve found out Emilia was pregnant, and now we’re here already. Bloody hell, time flies. So don’t waste much of it on not fulfilling your bucketlist items, yeah? What else is on yours, besides seeing Nothern lights and mountainclimbing?

I forgot the technical name until someone said it to me, page a day calendars is what they are better known as. Each day they have a little blurb like a word or quote of the day kind of thing printed on the page. I actually keep them and use the empty backs of them for scratch paper. I like learning new things. So many different topics can be found on them.
.
Oh... understood; I’ve seen few here and there during books shopping, they do look lovely. Alright, so if I were to design my own... I’d make a historical one. There could be themed calendars such as Egyptian Pharaohs, Mayans Culture, Babylon... those old civilisations are fascinating, surely there could be lots of blurbs to be done for each page. What are some of your faourites throughout your home?
sarahdduffy:
I have a confession to make, I collect calendar a day calendars and have at least one in each of the rooms I most frequent including the nursery, my den, the laundry room, and others. If you could create a calendar a day calendar, what would yours have in it?
@hfrpstarters
.
Alright, now I feel like an absolute fool here, but what are calendar a day calendars? It sounds like you quite like them considering you’ve got them in so many rooms; what is it you find attractive about them?
strcyhan:
I still haven’t processed that it’s 2022, I feel like 2021 went by so fast and I don’t know if it’s because me and my group were so busy, so it made time go by so fast, but I know it’s just going to get even more busier for 2022 because of everything we have coming out. I just want to make sure that I’m not the only one that still hasn’t processed that it’s 2022 haha. @hfrpstarters
.
What’s all the things you’ve been up to during 2021? I sometimes wonder if I’m going mental, but years fly by quicker and quicker as they go on. 2022 seemed so futuristic and so far away that I’ve never actually comprehended it as an actual year to come, and now that it’s here... shit. Going through a bit of a crisis here myself, so you’re definitely not alone here, mate.
