Finished yet another CPR training a couple weeks ago and for this an online test had to be done. By accident the site translated automatically to English and this is the result of one of the buttons:

I said some time ago that Van Houten is the best cocoa in Japan, but I found another one. Because apparently if you buy the supermarket version, it doesn't really dissolve into the milk unless you heat the milk up. (However, the one at Royal Host is the best, get it when you're there! I would only go for that but on the remote island I live on now, there's no Royal Host.)

This one, the meito one, does, and it tastes a lot like the cocoa I want.

Strangely there's the stick version (the one in the picture) and a bigger package with powder in (the regular version so to say in terms of size and safe money etc), which is the same brand and name and design, but different ingredients? Odd..

Typhoon #9

The next typhoon is gonna be big and much stronger. Everybody is getting ready now (buying food and water since the ships will stop for a while after and water might be cut off). I got a bunch of cupnoodles and other things that would last a while. My cupboard is quite full and my money is gone.

I bought a new package of furikake, one I never tried before, and finally tried it today!

The taste was a bit strange at first, not the usual furikake taste. I tried eating it without rice, which seemed okay but then turned quickly into disgust. I checked the ingredient list again and guess what's inside? Dried sea slug... T_T

I read about ムヒ a couple years ago that it's good for insect bites when the skin is itchy and you just want to spend the whole day scratching yourself.

Never would I have thought that it is just as good against plankton bites.

Typhoon no 13 is heading towards Okinawa. As there has been no single typhoon last year (everybody was surprised) I wonder how it will be. I only know Kyushu typhoons and they can already be pretty strong. When I asked a colleague he said "本当にやばい"

I forgot a lot of my native language. So much that a few days ago I was praised how good I could speak it lol. Like:

Me: Sorry, I forgot so much. Vocabulary, grammar (*throws up arms*)

Customers: Oh, no, no, no, don't worry, you speak very good!

Me: I'm... actually native lol

Customers genuinely surprised: Oh!

Me (joking): Yeah, I got B2 level.

Read an article about Japanese eating not until they're satisfied, but until they reach 80% of what they actually need. This is to preserve energy and to be able to use that energy for other things.

Meanwhile, my colleagus: gobbling down their huge bentous in less than 10 minutes, then searching the reception for possible snacks and omiyage brought by customers. If there are none, they go search the fridge.
