Merman Magnifo x Flora!! (Alright get some snacks and drinks cause this is a long one)
It was finally summer, and to celebrate the summer vacation, Flora and her friends decided to travel to Italy, and stay at an "albergo" (hotel in Italian btw) for their summer
While her friends were more focused on the trip and activities, Flora was more focused on the culture, food and history
One day, as Flora passed by a local restaurant, she overheard a conversation between a fisherman and his wife, which was the following;
"Ho rivisto quella creatura marina, ma questa volta da vicino!"
(I saw that sea creature again, but this time, up close!)
Oh davvero? Che aspetto aveva?
(Oh really? What did it look like?)
Non è come sembrava, è come era quando l'ho visto!
(Not what it looked like, it's what it was when I saw him!)
Un tritone! Aveva pinne color indaco e una lunga coda nera, e aveva un occhio solo! Sfortunatamente... quando si è accorto che lo guardavo, si è spaventato ed è nuotato via...
(A merman! he had indigo fins and a long black tail, and he had one eye! unfortunately....when he saw me looking at him, he got spooked and swam away...)
Oh, che peccato, ma per fortuna l'ha fatto, sai che quei cacciatori di sirene gli daranno la caccia solo per la coda, e più lunga è la coda... più alti saranno i prezzi...
(Aw that's too bad, but thankfully he did, you know those mermaid hunters will hunt him down only for his tail, the longer the tail is...the higher the prices will be...)
....Mermaid..hunters? And a merman!? Flora was amazed but a little said after knowing that they are hunted down...
Later that day, Flora and her friends were eating at the local restaurant, as she was eating her spaghetti, one of friends, Jessica, noticed something in the distance...someone staring right at Flora, his eye only focused on her only but, before she could say anything..
The person dove into the water and disappeared...Jessica was weirded out but figured it was only her imagination...
Meanwhile, Magnifo swam around the ocean, having fallen in love with a human girl from the surface, gushing over her, admiring her beauty....he had to do something! He had to confess! But...he didn't know what she liked or didn't like...he had an idea!
Throughout the day, he followed the group around, seeing what she disliked and liked, she loves roses and Lily's of the valley...check...she doesn't like sunflowers cause they stir up her allergies...check
On the final day of the trip, the group decided to take a boat out into the ocean, mostly to have fun and fish...until they started playing a game where they push each other around to see who would fall into the water first, it was all fun and games until Dave pushed Flora so hard she fell off the boat and fell into the ocean, she managed to swim back up to the surface, she was a bit pissed that he pushed her really hard to point in left bruises...
But suddenly, as she was climbing back into the boat, something grabbed her leg, and pulled her back into the water!
Flora couldn't breathe, she was losing consciousness fast, and before she fell under, all her she heard was the muffled screams from her friends...and then...total, darkness..
How long was she out..? She couldn't tell...she couldn't see anything.. except, she suddenly felt something warm touch her lips, almost like- wait-
A kiss???? She opened her eyes, only to see...THE MERMAN!!!! HE WAS REAL!!
Flora looked up at him in awe as he swam around her, admiring her as he swam..finally, he spoke
"Don't worry my love, you're safe with me"
Flora stared in awe at him, amazed by how someone so majestic saved her...
Are you...are you an actual mermaid..?
Yep! I forgot humans have never seen a mermaid or merman before...but yes, we do exist! >:3 ✨
Holy- *sharp pain* AH!, son of a-
yeah...it's just..I think the pain in my chest just kicked in- oh... nevermind, it bruised up
Don't worry, I can get rid of those bruises easily
Using his tail, he pushes Flora closer to him and with one kiss to the chest, sparkles surround her chest and her bruises disappeared
Yeah, us mermaids can practically heal anything with just a kiss
Hm...also, how am I alive?! I should've been dead by now cause I'm underwater!
...Oh yeah..I forgot about the mermaid's blessing, it basically gives the person who the mermaid kisses to breathe underwater, and the only way it will work is if the mermaid directly kisses the person on the lips..oh and it only works on creatures who can't breathe underwater, meaning humans 😄
After a long pause of silence...Flora's mind goes back to that conversation between the fisherman and his wife, about the mermaid hunters...she looked right at Magnifo, a merman, and realized..he was in danger...she thought and thought until...she finally spoke
Hey...so uhh, this might sound insane but..do you want to come back with me to America? I know it's pretty dangerous here due to the mermaid hunters...
Wait..you want me to go with you?..SURE! I don't mind, but...do Mermaid hunters exist over there?
Not really, people love mermaids from where I am!
okay then! I'll go with you to this...Merica, with you!
Later that night, as Flora's friends were still looking for her, she emerged from the water and swam back to the beach
Magnifo on toe with her, she stepped on the sand and looked at Magnifo as he used his new "legs" to walk on the surface of the land
Sand feels weird...so do legs- WOAH- *falls over*
Woah *runs over to him* are you okay?!
*Sits up and spits sand out* EW EW EW, WHY DOES IT TASTE LIKE THAT! EWW!!
*Flora snorts then giggles*
Soon, her friends came back and were cheering about the fact she had come back to the surface alive!
She introduced Magnifo to them, saying that he was the one who saved her from drowning, while everyone cheered and thanked him for saving her, Jessica realized she had seen him before...but she chose not to say anything about it since clearly...Flora looked happy
They would soon leave back to America, and Magnifo would move into Flora's house in California, near the beach, where he would meet other mermaids and mermans like him!
And they lived happily ever after
Btw this Magnifo is a good boi compared to Vampire Magnifo and Villain Magnifo
He also has an Italian accent :D
