getting fixated on something is funny because the first like week i have an insatiable need to tell everyone i know about it and spread the good word but by weeks 2 and 3 it becomes so intense and personal that even hearing it mentioned in public makes me sweat as if a dark secret was alluded to
BEYOND ANCIENT WoW doodles I made last time I played the game (dragonflight) that I never posted for some reason. Posting now for posterity
Shout out to my dad for making this the first game I was exposed to and PERMAcooking me. I hate WoW I hate blizz. Anyways I like death knights(said very normally and balancedly). My lifelong obsession with them starting at childhood is likely the reason I am the way I am today. Featuring my Dog. I legitimately cannot play other mmo's because I like the Worgens too much. I try gw2 again in my mmo withdrawals and only feel greif I cannot be a werewolf druid and cannot get into the Charrs. My life is pain.
Summary: Nat discovers that Tucker has a crush on TSV and is determined to make Tucker confess to him.
"You have to tell him."
Nat's voice is the only thing to break the long silence that lingered in the room. Tucker didn't intend on telling anyone about his feelings for Tyler. He had gotten too carried away ranting to Nat about things and the words, "I think I'm in love with TSV," just happened to slip out of his mouth. Fantastic. She was never going to let this go.
"No. Absolutely not."
"Why not? What's the worst that could happen?" Nat shrugged.
"He could say 'no' and then he'd avoid me because it's now awkward between us," Tucker grumbled, "why do you care anyway?"
"First of all," Nat started, "none of that is going to happen. Tyler would never avoid you, especially not over something as silly as this. Second, because I'm nosy and bored. Besides I'm pretty sure Tyler likes you anyway."
"How would you know-" Tucker paused, "You...what? What do you mean you think he likes me?"
"Dude, seriously? He cuddles up to you like all the time during our movie nights and he laughs at your jokes," Nat explained.
"The cuddling is totally platonic and laughing at my jokes is a completely non-romantic thing to do!" Tucker retorted.
Nat chuckled, "only someone who was in love with you could laugh at your jokes."
"my jokes are funny!" Tucker avowed.
Nat rolled her eyes and laughed, "You keep telling yourself that, Tuck".
"Anyway," Tucker continued, "neither of those things are romantic."
"He hasn't mentioned Danyon in weeks, and mysteriously around the same time he's started posting about you more often," Nat pointed out, "Just yesterday he made a post talking about how kind you've been to him all these years."
"Yeah, but that-"
"For the third time in the past 2 months."
Tucker blinked. He hadn't thought of that. Even worse is that it gave him hope. He felt a strong, warm feeling grow in his chest. Maybe Tyler really did like him. Maybe he had a chance. Maybe Tucker could-
No! he can't let Nat talk him into this.
"I'm sure there's a totally normal platonic explanation for that," Tucker refuted. He was trying to convince himself of that more than Nat. Nat pulled out her phone and typed something on it.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm telling Tyler you like him," Nat declared, "or at least I will if you don't go out there and tell him yourself."
"You're bluffing," Tucker murmured, glancing away. They wouldn't do that to him, would they?
Nat smirked, "you wanna test that theory?" He didn't. He really, really didn't.
"But I just found out I liked him last week! I can't just tell him now!" Tucker huffs loudly.
"Why not?"
Tucker stood up from the bed, "Would you ask out a girl the same day you realized you liked her?"
"Well no, but-"
"Exactly! You wouldn't!" He started to pace nervously, "I'm never going to tell him, Nat, I'm just going to bottle it up until it eventually fades away and then everything can go back to normal."
Nat looked over at the door and grinned, "Tell him what? That you're in love with him?"
"Yes!!" Tucker yelled, "Because he doesn't feel the same way, so-!"
The door to the bedroom opened. Tucker stood next to the bed mid pace frozen like a deer in headlights. There in the dimly lit doorway stood Tyler.
"...how much did you hear?" Tucker asked quietly. He hoped he'd heard everything. He prayed he heard nothing at all. Tucker searched the other man's face for an answer. He expected disgust or discomfort or embarrassment, but instead he spotted...a smile?
"Sorry...Nat told me you had something you wanted to tell me so I came. I didn't mean to...uh...eavesdrop or anything." Tyler explained softly. His hand fidgeted with one of the strings of his hoodie. God, he was cute.
"I'll leave you guys to it," Nat grinned as they cheerfully got up from the bed and left the room. Tucker is so going to yell at them for this later.
Tyler simply states, "So you like me?"
"Uh yeah I guess I do," Tucker stumbles out, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry, it just sort if happened. I promise I wasnt planning on telling you or doing anything about it. We're still cool, right?"
Tyler blinked, "Tucker, what? Of course we're cool, why wouldn't we be?"
"I thought you'd be weirded out..." Tucker muttered.
"Of course not. Besides I kinda uh...like you too?" Tyler confessed.
Tucker stared silently at Tyler for a minute, jaw practically on the floor, "What?"
Tyler repeated himself, more confidenly this time, "I like you too, Tuck."
Tucker still stared at him, baffled,"What????"
Tyler tentatively approached him and gently took his hand. His fingers began to close around Tucker's, but stopped. Tyler looked back up to the other man, silently asking for permission. Tucker took a deep breath and intertwined their fingers. A firm, nonverbal 'yes'. Tyler beamed.
Tucker covered his mouth and looked away, grinning like an idiot. 'Jesus christ Tucker pull yourself together!!'
Tyler gently pulled Tucker's hand away from his face using his free hand, "Come on I like seeing your smile, don't hide it from me."
Tucker rolled his eyes and blushed profusely, "fuck you, man."
"Promise?" Tyler joked.
"Well- I- uh-" Tucker stammered, embarrassed.
Tyler laughed, "You're cute when you're flustered."
Tucker groaned, face still bright red, "Your followers are going to be so annoying about this."
Tyler shrugged, "Yeah, but who cares. We don't even have to tell them. Not yet at least. Besides it's not like we're offical or anything yet. Unless you want to be?"
"I'd like to be," Tucker breathed. He had never been more sure of anything in his life in that moment.
"Okay then I guess that settles it. We're officially a couple," Tyler smiled.
"So what do you want to do now?" Tucker asked.
Tyler thought for a moment before speaking, "Well...if it's not too much trouble I think I'd just like to cuddle with you for awhile."
