This past December my bright idea was to crochet a blanket. My even brighter idea was thinking “If I pick a blanket that I could do in pieces I won’t get too frustrated with it and it will also be harder for me to miss stitches and end up with a blanket that’s more squiggly than straight.” Yeah.. Needless to say, frustration still insued and seven months later I FINALLY finished the puff flowers. All 340 puff flowers. Yes. I did just say 340 puff flowers. Now I just have to weave them together..yay.
If ya wanna give them a go, here’s a tutorial made by someone not me.

The makings of a center pull yarn (not quite) ball. Who'd have thought all those empty pill bottles have more use than taking up space in the medicine cabinet. Just find a yarn end (the center one makes the process easier and less messy [yes yes I'm aware I turned a center pull skein into a center pull ball..hush yourself..this is an accomplished moment for me]), pop the lid back on (better with the screw topped bottles so the tabby things don't catch the yarn [you can cut them off and cover the bottle with electrical tape. It also makes the yarn easier to slide off]), and start wrapping. And...wrap some more. Then curse because you snagged a loop right in the middle and have to unravel it to that point and start again (hiding it by pretending its not there and keep wrapping doesn't always work 😅). Once it's all wrapped, tuck the end into a loop, pop off the top of the bottle, and push the bottle (or throw the ball while you're cursing it's existence again, because the bottle got stuck despite your attempts otherwise) through the bottom of the ball, and pat yourself on the back for making a pretty center pull (not quite) ball of yarn that sits neatly on the table instead of rolling around half of creation. 🎉🎉
