I know my wonderful friend @felixandflowers has already made a post about this but I’m still fuming and therefore I decided to speak up as well. So bear with me. :))))))
Lately, or not even lately, tbh it’s been going on for months(!!!), I’ve seen so many people here on tumblr receiving anonymous hate messages. And no, we’re not talking about one dumb message about someone throwing a childish insult around, no. We’re talking about people continuously and aggressively harassing people with their anonymous asks and it has gone as far as to telling people to delete their blogs, or even worse (probably the worst of all) to kill themselves.
Let me make this clear for once and for all:
IT IS NEVER! IN ANY FORM OR WAY OKAY TO TELL SOMEONE TO KILL THEMSELVES.
I seriously don’t even know how to put my anger into words because I am so disgusted by these people.
▪Have you ever, EVER thought about what you may do to someone if you tell them to kill themselves?
▪Are you aware that there are actual cases of people committing suicide because of such messages?
▪ How can you live with the knowledge of having contributed a part to someone taking their own life?
▪How low of a person do you have to be to stoop to such a level?
I don’t understand. I seriously don’t. I don’t care if your life is shit. I don’t care whether you have no confidence or no self-esteem. I seriously couldn’t care less if you think you need to bring others down in order to feed your non-existent ego and maybe feel better about your damn pathetic self.
Are you really that greedy for attention that you ignore basic morals and manners and execute unethical behaviour? This is sad.
What has this platform turned into? I’ve been seeing so much hate and I don’t know if it’s always been like that but I keep seeing anonymous hate on mutuals’ blogs and it makes me incredibly angry seeing how you anonymous pricks make their life even harder than it already is. DO YOU HAVE ANY LAST SENSE OF RESPECT LEFT IN THAT LITTLE BRAIN OF YOURS? Doesn’t seem like it.
So, here’s the thing. Y'all are fucking criminals and I hope you are aware that you aren’t safe only because you hit a button to hide your identity when sending an ask. Your IP’s addresses can be traced and people can and will find out about who you are. Do you know you’re committing a crime? Do you know you can get convicted for hate speech on the Internet? These people could report you if you don’t finally put some sense into what’s left of your brains and
Your hate it not wanted nor needed here. It’s uncalled for and it’s hurtful. Hating on someone for no reason is the worst you can do and I have zero respect and sympathy left for you anonymous haters.
Before you hit that send button next time, please do me the favour and think about the consequences your actions may cause. Words cut deeper than you could ever imagine.
How would you feel if you were in their position? How would you like being greeted by disgusting hate messages every day when you open this app? How would that affect your mental health and your self-esteem? Have you ever stopped being so selfish and bullshitting around to think about other people and their feelings? Don’t you know what it means to be sensible? I seriously don’t understand you.
There’s no place on Tumblr for hate anons. Period.
