when you sit down and listen to what antishippers have to say, it becomes undeniably clear that they do not engage in genuine victim advocacy, nor do they possess even a BASELINE understanding of what actual REAL advocacy entails.

note: material advocacy requires tangible support systems for survivors. something like therapy. if you care about abuse victims so much, why dont you pay for their therapy lulz? it also requires legislative engagement (legislative engagement is just a fancy way of saying "actually doing the work to change laws." instead of just complaining about an issue online or arguing with people on social media. this is what a lot of antishippers do (or, ahem, people in general) it means getting involved in the actual legal and political system to create systemic change ), or direct crisis intervention (although I'd like to mention that not every proshipper is a deeply traumatised and abused individual, do not treat them as such ). they are institutional concepts that, let's be honest, most of these losers don't have the maturity or cognitive capacity to comprehend. their only actual goal is the puritanical eradication of taboo concepts in fictional media. they do not care about flesh and blood human beings. in contrast, antishipping culture operates for moral performance, tribalism, and recreational harassment.

to pull off this grift they often appropriate vocabulary from therapy speak. they throw around terms like "grooming" or "proship = pedophile durrr!". they understand that these specific labels carry extreme social stigma, so, naturally, by slapping the worst possible label on a creator, they force outside onlookers to blindly side with them out of fear. they also use the hollow language of "we are protecting the victims, you dont care about the victims!" and "justice" as a shield to justify relentless cyberbullying, stalking, and harassment against individuals

as i said before, they overlook severe bigotry and systemic abuse within their very own factions. they will excuse the most deplorable, illegal, and toxic behavior in their own circles because "I proship is the bad" and "we dont care?? that person is a proshipper anyways, send them death threats!!!".
