Hey, so did you know that librarians tend to run liberal?

And that they’re really against censorship?

And that nearly all libraries have policies that prohibit people from harassing others inside?

And that nearly all libraries have free wifi and desktop computers that erase history when you’re done using them?

And that librarians are totally chill with you hanging out all day? (provided you don’t spill things on the books)

And that libraries often have huge offerings of dvds which you can watch on your laptop in the library?

And that libraries tend to have lots of resources for folks who find themselves in distress?

This is so gross! These are grown adults bullying someone like they are on an elementary school playground. I have to continue believing that for every one asshole there are at least two caring people..

Ya’ll keep sitting around on here talking about how Disney channel has gone down hill and how it was so much better and taught us important lessons back in our day but are like totally ignoring girl meets world which is midway through its second season right now and has already covered:

. Bullying

. Cultural appropriation 

. Respecting the work and difficulty behind all professions no matter how trivial they seem 

. Death 

. Anger management issues 

. The effects the government and the people running it can have on all of us, mainly kids and why they should still care about it despite not getting a say in it 

. How unconventional teaching methods may be beneficial to those who struggle to learn in a conventional way

. How you should never change yourself because of how other people see you

. But if YOU want to change and reinvent yourself that’s totally okay bc you’re growing and you don’t quite know who you want to be yet and if trying new things can help you figure that out then you go ahead and change and blossom into what you want to be. And only if it’s what YOU want to be 

. How the creative arts are just as important as maths, science, English ect and how your creative talents are valid and deserved to be nourished 

. One of the best things I’ve ever seen on disney where they’re in class discussing etiquette for a school dance and a boy and a girl go in front of the class to perform a play about school dance etiquette and the boy says: ‘Miss Hart would you do me the great pleasure of accompanying me to this dance?’ And the girl literally just replies: ‘No.’ And the boy stops, they turn and say 'ETIQUETTE’. And that’s it. That’s literally the end of it. They literally just informed children everywhere that when a girl says no you stop and that’s the end of it. How are we not all raving about this?! 

And apparently it’s going to be revealed next episode that one of the main four kids might be autistic. Can we please give credit where credit is due because this kids show is actually trying to teach kids things that are important and beneficial to their growth as human beings. Also Cory Matthews is back. The celery has returned to TV and he’s just as high strung and as weird as ever. And it’s beautiful.
