Beauty and the Banal Research
^ Stephen Shore^
I really love the colours in both of these images, it’s very asthmatic. Both images are very simple.
^ William Eggleston^
The colours are so on point with these images. Both images are slightly off centre but it works so well. The first image annoys me a bit because the top is off it but it still works. I love the colours in the second image!!
Editorial Final
Overall I am happy with the final images for this brief, I was to show how bad the littering around Glasgow was and how its destroying nature.
Editorial Contact Sheets
This is the route I will take to get it Saltcoats beach, I will park in the car park and walk on to the beach.
This is the route I will take to get to Porten Cross, there is a car park where I can park my car. I then will walk round to the castle and do my shot!
Step by step on Environment 360
I opened bridge, batched renamed and saved my files in the appropriate folder, I then pick the images that are in focus and sharp. I do this by using the 1-to-5-star rating system, I then bring those images into camera raw to edit, I make sure they are straight, no unwanted dust and once more make sure they are in focus. I edit the images and make sure they are all edited the same and look like were taken as one big photo. I then save the images, go back into bridge, and start the process of putting them together.
Tools> photoshop> photo merge, opens a up a box, change to college> turn off merge pictures then click okay. This will open photoshop and you can use the keys ctrl + T to move the images you want to move.
Environment 360 Contact Sheets- Final Attempt
After 3 attempts I finally did it!
Environment 360 Contact Sheets- Second Attempt
Second attempt, I feel this went a bit better but again I didn't shot enough I concentrated too much in the sky this time. I love shooting in Porten Cross especially with the castle in the shot. I will try again
Environment 360 Contact Sheets- First Attempt
First attempt, this attempt was just to practise putting it together in photoshop. I realised after I got home I didn't shot enough, which I will make sure to shot lots the next time.

^David Hockney Mayflower hotel^
^David Hockney Mayflower hotel^
I really like these 2 sets of images from Hockney the first one works so well its like its almost one full shot. You can see the full room and every light bit of it. The second image is almost like just your in the room.
^Alma Haser^
I really like this image, Haser used twins for this shot with 2 different coloured tops on and then used jigsaw pieces to combine the 3 images together.
The route from my house to the local McDonalds, I will drive to the local McDonald’s and use the drive thru as it’s the only way you can get McDonalds due to the current situation.
Brand Slogan Final Image
This is my final image for this brief, I feel it could of been a lot better if I had the right equipment. But I done my best with what I had, I feel it meets the requirements for the brief. It shows what kind of consumer I am

Brand Slogan Contact Sheets
I feel this went well shooting this brief, it was fun taking pictures of McDonalds then getting to eat it afterwards. It was a challenge to try and light this still life with just a flash due to not being able to use the studio. I feel this worked well with what I had to use. I also used the natural window light coming in. It was also hard not to eat the McDonalds while shooting this, I bought extra fries because I knew I would eat them. I used a tripod to shot this to get the looking down angle and tried to shot it as if you were eating a McDonalds so opening the bag etc.
Brand Slogan
For this brief we were asked to think about what kind of consumer/ buyer we are. We were asked to quickly go find an item in our houses that we buy all the time, something we use everyday. After doing a bit of research and thinking about something I buy a lot of it was McDonalds.... I like McDonalds, alot. I wanted to do something different from everyone else. I looked into different still lifes and went through all the cupboards and drawers in my house. But this felt more like me and something I buy a lot of.
