She groaned, rolling her eyes. “I meant working together not one of you lot trying to put me in chains.” Ignoring her stare she added. “Now are you ready?”

Her brow arched in surprise at the name he had for her brother, followed by a full wide grin upon her full lips as he broke down into laughter. Leaning forward and bracking herself on her knees she held up a hand, waving it at him for what reason she wasn’t sure. “Thunderstruck! Thunderstruck! By the gods I need to use that one next time I see him. He’s going to have a fit. He’s still getting over Lord of Thunder, but this.”

Standing once more she wiped a tear from her eye before that grin faded as quickly as it had come. “Please do try to pepper me with your rifle. Do try to remember however that bullets are easy to block. But if you’d like to try please,” She spread her hands before her, a smirk pulling at her lips. “Be my guest.”

“Would you say I fully left the side of good though?” She mused, arching a brow at him before huffing slightly. Turning away she then sighed. “I turned towards the darkness because of my past. Growing up as the shadow in Thor’s wake. Never being enough for a Father that I tried so hard to please….the breaking point though…”

Returning her gaze to him, her voice turning cold, she said with soft wrath. “Imagine finding out one day that you are one of the very monsters you where raised to fear as a child and trained to kill as an adult. To find out your entire life had been a lie….” Trailing off again she paused, swallowing before adding. “Yet Thor is my brother, no matter if the same blood does not run through our veins.”

Irnan smiled just a little, her cheeks darkening with what probably was a blush, but since void ran through her veins rather than blood, it just made her snow-skin turn slightly grey. “I’m not certain I can change, but I will endeavor not to.” 

“Of course,” Irnan said mildly, before her brain caught up with the rest of Loki’s statement. “Asgard is gone? Is that what that was, a few weeks past?” The void had shuddered with a sudden imbalance, but it was far enough away that it must have been in a different realm. “I’m…sorry?” The avatar floundered a little. She could never quite read Loki, never quite know what she wanted to hear, and it made her duty of comforting the grieving tricky. She was usually quite good. “That is terrible.”

“Yes.....Hela brought her wrath upon it and the only way to stop her was to destroy our homeland as well....” She paused, clenching her teeth for a moment before continuing. “But our people are safe...what’s left of them at least. If there was something you sensed then yes, that was most likely what it was a few weeks ago.”

Looking away she sighed. “Terrible I suppose....Thor lost one of his eyes.” Turning back to Irnan she added, grinning slightly. “It looks good on him, the eye patch. Makes him look more kingly. He punched me the first time I told him that.”

Yondu squinted, smirking. “Heh. Somethin’s tellin’ me ye ain’t proud a yer race.” He said as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.

“Ye should always be proud a what ye are.”

“Would you be if they are the monsters you were raised to fear from birth by your father that stole you away as a baby but didn’t tell you you where adopted and then found out by going to fight those very monsters only to discover you are one in the same?” She mused, voice a bit too light to pass as one that didn’t care one way or the other.

“I’m am proud of who I am."

“I’m sure it was. Speaking of Thor, he stopped by for a bit a week ago. Wanted to check on us and see how you were doing.” He nodded, “Neither of us doubted you for a second. Though next time, send me a note once and a while.” He gave her a loving grin.

“The kids are asleep. Cala has been…” He scratched the back of his head, “Playing with the celestials again. Which is still worrying me. Thad has kept to himself after the whole blowing up the mall incident. Aradia is doing god knows what and Fawkes has been called back to the underground for some sort of revolt that they won’t explain to me.” He sighed, “How did our kids get so powerful, love?” His arms snaked around her and lifted her up into his arms. “If you wish it. So it shall be.”

Grinning back at him she kissed his cheek. “I’ll do my best to remember while running all over the place and possibly pissing off several very powerful individuals.” A wicked gleam slipped into her gaze as she winked at him. “Of course that was until I happened to mention the wonderful man that I’m married too. Funny enough that caused a few of them to back off, one even offered me a place to stay for my duration on their planet. Not that I trusted them enough to stay there.”

“I’m beginning to sense that Cala will always be the one doing something that will worry us, particularly you my love.” She grinned, shaking her head before that grin faded. Thad. That day at the mall had been horrifying. To see his power explode from him like that, finally showing that he two had power only for it to be more devastating to him then not having it had been. He’d always wanted to have magic and yet.... “The amulet will help. I’m sure of it. Hell I even tried it for a bit to see how well it would help. Very effective let me tell you, almost got me killed because of how well it contains one’s power.”

Leaning against him, her legs wrapping around his waist she sighed, placing both hands on either side of his face. “They became so powerful because they are the children of you and me my love. Our children were bound to be powerful and because of that hunted by those that will fear it and them. The best we can do is raise them to be able to defend themselves in case one day we are no longer there to it for them. And Fawkes will be alright my love so stop worrying so much.”
