12.31.14 #instadevo So, this year I am sharing reflections from my quiet time. Probably not everyday because that is a LOT of pressure... Today, it's about approaching GOD'S throne of grace with confidence: I've never met the Queen of England or any "Royals." I do watch Reign on #theCW and LOVE a good Jane Austen novel, so that makes me an expert, right? Approaching God's throne of Grace is one thing...approaching with confidence is another. Confidence to me is a quiet knowing it is an empowerment from within. I don't walk up to something with confidence IF there is a STRONG possibility I will be rejected. Unless I was seriously lacking in the wisdom department and THAT is another entry for another day. So God tells us in Hebrews 4:16 that we can approach God's throne of grace with confidence so that we may RECEIVE MERCY and FIND GRACE to help us in our time of need. Not begging like a pauper, or filled with angst or terror like a teen who wrecked his Parents new, shiny car. With CONFIDENCE. My daughters Know that there is absolutely nothing they could ever do to make me NOT LOVE THEM. NOTHING. NADA. While it may not be easy, they know that they can confidently approach me and find HELP. GRACE. MERCY. HOPE. That's just human mortal acceptance. GOD'S IS IMMORTAL...eternal...A. K. A. FOREVER! Food for thought: Am I approaching God with THAT kind of confidence for EVERYTHING in my life?
