Still thinking about this. Crazy that it took Jeannie II to finally be the one to squish Roger’s cheeks
This was kinda hot tbh
implying that he isnt one
its really amazing that the bellows are television's first ever canonical t4t couple
I Dream of Jeannie: Season 4, Episode 11, "Dr. Bellows Goes Sane"
Aka the throuple do their best to come up with a plan to help Bellows and it kinda backfires as they’re kinda idiots but it’s all okay in the end.
A very fun, lovly little recording session with Bobby, singing his still unreleased (Yet found and fully uploaded on youtube) song, "Weeping Willow" and if I hsd to guess the studio hr was recording at! Id asume Atco Recordings.
A number of Bobby Darin songs were "Lost" or rather fully recorded snd even edited in full, they just never made any form of Album cuts, and meny getting lost to tim and stuck in vaults due to copywrite on them. Between 2014 and 2024 several of theses songs were relased on albums and a few as singles, however meny which are uploaded in full wonderful condition only on youtube, have yet to ever be relased onto any single album recording.
I'm unsure why exactly this song was never released, but I do know the Atco reckrd "Oh look at me Now!" Was ment to have a sort of partner album with it titled "As long as im Singing!" Which was never released sadly, but the song itself was recorded and preformed live a few times. I believe the song "Weeping Willow" would have appeared on the aforementioned album.
You can find the full version here on youtube and its the only avaliable version of this song:
Did you know? Bobby Darin frequently wore a Fedore at the start of his more bustling point in his Career?
Is this also an excuse to post all the Fedora images i have of him? Yes of cource~
On a very educational note,
Bobby most likely began wearing the Fedora near the start of his Atco recordings caree (or rsther Atlantic recordings career since they're a subsection of Alantic records) He began adapting the look around late 58/59 and partically the year of 1960, attempting to both come off as more mature, and make a "Look" for himself while distancing himself from the teen idol phase he had which did push him forward but he didn't want to be stuck doing teenie bopper love songs at his growing age.
The look of getting a fedore was ment to mimic the lighter older lounge singer crowd he looked up to, and wanted to be like. Namly Frank Sinatra who he held a great respect for but was eager to be as good if not better and more popular than him at the time. He also took up wearing the fedora, due to his great insecurities surrounding his receding and thinning hair he had, due to his heart condition messing with his hair.
He wore the fedora for a couple of shows and was mostly seen backstage with it ans recording with it on, but as soon as money hit the bank, he wound up investing in a varity of hair toupees to help even out and fix his hair line again. The first go around made his hair a little off but syllable, then he manged to get the hang of them ans held a very consistent hairstyle which was iconic and adorble on him! He also ditched it because sevral tabiods, and articles kept comparing him to a sort of "Wannabe Sinatra" and it rightfully upset him aince he wasnr trying to be him, he was being himself just also climbing the fame lounge singer ladder is all. (Bobby also notoriously depsied too cynical and gossip articles and magazines with a burning passion)
The fedora look was retired to movie sets and at home/vacation on ocassion only, seeing as he then became self-conscious over the idea of a hat messing up his toupee, but regardless the short lived era of Fedora Bobby is cute and adorble! But I like him more without it.
Bonus! Him as a kid with one on :3
Thats where the singer likes to be - Fairs get him Close to People!

Image text reads: SINGER BOBBY DARIN ... In the background, a "Splish-Splash" pool!
Spent way to long transcribing the tiny text- but as the local Texan, I neeeeded to see if he had been to my state and ah! He has! And preformed at the West Texas Fair wow! He also did the film "State Fair" which is filmed entirely IN texas becuse we have a State Fair...and are famous for the Texas State Fair-
The paper reads as the follow:
A young New York native with a quick smile and a nice song that's Bobby Darin, is now appearing at the West Texas Fair.
Darin 23 was interviewed at the Thunderbird Lodge dressed in a green sweater, blue jeans and swede shoes.
He relaxed in his room sipping a cup of coffee, and talked to a reporter a few hours after an almost all night from California where he just appeared in the Santa Clara County Fair.
"The crowds there were incredulas," he commented. "There were about 11,000 people there the first night."
"I like to appear at Fairs," Darin said. "It gets me close to the people and that's where I like to be." Darin admits that he first started in the music business as a songwriter. "I have written all my hit songs, except 'Mack the Knife'. " He says.
And those hits include "Splish-Splash", "Dream Lover" and many others. "But I had seven bombs (flops) before my first hit." He added.
His first hit was "Splish-Splash".
Darin started his career in New York City, his birthplace. Only three years ago, "First came writing, then singing, then recording." He explained.
Darin does not drink even though his act takes him leading night clubs throughout the country.
His outstanding appearances in the past include the Sahara in Las Vegas where he appeared for four works with George Burns and the Ed Sullivan show.
After his last appearance here tonight, he will journey to New York where he is the beat man in a friend's wedding. (Darin is not married, nor anywhere near that drastic step he claims.)
After New York he will appear in Washington D.C. for a week then is slated for the Sands in Las Vegas.
His favorite songs, standard ballads. "But I sing what the most people want." He added.
He also voiced he thoughts on the future of rock and roll, the manic type which brought him fame.
"I think the music is becoming quieter now, not nearly so wild, I plan to follow the trend." He said.
Darin spoke highly of the act is following him at the West Texas Fair midway show, the Everly Brothers. "They have one of the most authentic country and western sounds I've ever heard. They are also very good musicians." He commented.
He also likes Ricky Nelson. "He's a shy, nice kid." He says. "Elvis Presley? I never met the man." He said.
Bobby thinks he has established himself a certian way in his music. While he single records are mostly the rock and roll type his albums consist more of the Standard Ballads.
The folk song craze the Kingston Trio revived is not new to Darin he says, "I started out as a Folk singer, and I would still like to make folk albums some day."
He also reported that he has signed a contract with Paramount to make a movie in six or seven months. That's all he knows about it.
Though Bobby had only been in Abilene a few hours at interview time, he expressed a like for the country here. "It's a real clean country. It gives me a feeling of health." He said.
He let out a surprised laugh when told there was a town near Abilene named Clyde. "Hey, like Frank Sinatra." He said.
(Editor's note — Writer Tabor, a resident and a Number One booster for the town of Clyde, never fails to bring up the subject it seems.)
One of Sinatra's Coined nicknames in his now famous vocabulary is "Clyde" .
On my computa :3 learning HTML~ Because SOMEBODY HAS TO MAKE A BOBBY DARIN FANSITE AGAIN!!!
google search how to interact with other human beings in a way that another human being might consider normal or even acceptable
