Do you need any additional help with anything?
There’s so much random shit to do. We can always use volunteers.

This prom thing sounds like a lot of fun for the kids. Do you do this sort of thing often for them?
And, hey, nothing wrong with being busy, right?
It’s one of my favorite things. I look forward to it every year. We have lots of events for the kids, but we also have adult events. We’re about to start planning our first camping trip of the year.
Nothing at all. Keeps me out of trouble.
lovelylunareyes:
Oh la la, this is all exciting stuff! Also what will you be binge watching and can I bring you anything while you get your well deserved time off?
It is, isn’t it? I don’t know, Netflix just put up a bunch of shit I’m interested in. It’s a hard call to make. Just your gorgeous self! I’ve missed hanging out with you.
peterbrisbois:
If you say so.
Excuse me, but the amount of work you put into your two jobs is not something I would call “lazy.”
I do and I’m right.
Well, no, I don’t have time to be lazy often, but I think I’m pretty awesome at it when I get the chance.
peterbrisbois:
PM: People say my head is in the clouds because of the way I write that it isn’t grounded.
PM: Well, people can fuck off. I love the way you write.
peterbrisbois:
PM: I’m not freaked out. For the record.
I figure it would be more meaningful if I took yours since you have family and all.
I’m just thinking about having a yard, have a house. You know I’ve never had those and I think it would be really special to me to have a place with you. Or hell, even having a fence? Some place the dogs could run whenever they want? Me being able to write for a living and not have a second job? I’m not looking for a New York Times Bestseller but just something to me able to make a living.
PM: Good. I’m glad.
Just because your family isn’t here anymore doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to have their name carried on.
I haven’t had a house with a yard since I was a kid. It would be really special to me, too. I think the dogs would like a fence, and I love that you love them enough to think of them. It’s sweet. I have faith you could make writing for a living a reality.
peterbrisbois:
I’m quite excited to look stupid in a suit. I also can’t wait to be lazy with you for at least part of that week.
You don’t look stupid in a suit. Not even close. You clean up fabulously.
I fully intend to see you like all the time. No worries. Being lazy is what I’m best at, you know.
peterbrisbois:
PM: It’s better for my head to be there than in the past.
PM: Yeah, but focusing on the now doesn’t mean you have to focus on the shitty now. Some people think focusing on good stuff means you have your head in the clouds. I think those people are bitter, but, you know.
peterbrisbois:
Yeah, I was looking up ramen recipes last night. I’m definitely ready.
Oh, yeah? You can do some pretty fun things with those dirt-cheap noodles.
peterbrisbois:
PM: Why would I get freaked out?
There’s something you didn’t mention, which was probably on purpose, but I’m going to add it. The day we get married and I take your name. I think that’s far off, but just want to slide that in there.
I definitely have an idea and now I’m thinking.
PM: I don’t know, some people get weird when the person they’re dating starts talking about the future.
You, uh....
I guess I just didn’t think that was something you would want, for some reason. I’ve never thought about someone taking my name before.
What are you thinking, big guy?
It’s been a while since I did one of these, so... here’s some music for your ear holes.
I’m really sorry to everyone who follows me. I’ve realized that most all of my posts now are sappy as hell, but I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
It’s hard to believe that after months of helping the kids plan, we’re actually physically putting it together and Alternative Prom is this weekend. Which, once again, is only possible because of all of you lovely people that donated.
Because of all the hours I’ve been putting in, I’m taking a week off from both of my jobs immediately following, but I’m sure I won’t actually stay away. I get bored pretty quickly, so, please, if anyone wants to get together next week... save me from binge watching horrible TV. I promise I’m decent company.
peterbrisbois:
PM:Tell me what it vaguely looks like. I want to know.
PM: Oh man. Ok. You asked for it, so you’re not allowed to get freaked out.
A house with a yard, probably in the middle of nowhere. Maybe another dog. Complaining about too many heat sources in the bed. Sharing important moments. Sharing unimportant moments. Kissing you both goodnight and good morning every day. Being woken up before the sun because you don’t know how to sleep in. Lazy Sundays where we all refuse to put on real clothes. Family trips to the grocery store. Being fussed at for leaving my clothes in the dryer. Being generally boring, old, and domesticated as fuck. Cheesy family christmas cards (with the dogs, of course).
I could keep going but I think you get the idea.
peterbrisbois:
I look forward to you jazzing up my noodles.
Hot.
peterbrisbois:
PM: I definitely say I’m the dreamer, though.
PM: Maybe. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having your head in the clouds sometimes. It’s definitely better than focusing on all of the bad shit going on in the world today.
peterbrisbois:
PM: It was a figurative you that I thought about then. I filled in the blanks. I put you on a pedestal and I held onto you because the thoughts of you were the only goodness I had.
Now, I think about us and I don’t know what the future is, but I know there’s a future and we’re on the same ground and I know we’ll walk together. You’ll take my hand and we won’t be stopped.
PM: Yeah, I know. I’m really glad I never took the stress in my life out on you when we were in school. So you could have your happy thoughts. It’s like I was there for you, in some way.
I fucking love you. There’s definitely no stopping us. I just have these really vague images of what it might look like, but I try not to have expectations for things like that.
peterbrisbois:
I’m not entirely sure it’s sexy but it’s cheesy so I like it.
Not all of my come-ons are actually sexy. Sometimes they’re just fun. Anyway, now we need to have a Ramen night.
