Post S2, Crowley and Aziraphale meet only in shared dreams of some beautiful place. There's a tree and a cottage and they are both depressed. It will be dreamy, funny, bizzare and with skippable adult chapters I'll be posting somewhere else (all for free). There will be firebugs.
@fanfiction-i-like made the masterpost for this series . Thank you!
Hey, look at me. Look at me. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: you need to condition yourself to being okay with being inconvenienced by things. The first time I spoke about this I meant it in a mental health way- it is good to go out to the store and see people versus just ordering alone at home- but there is another more pressing societal issue you should be more concerned about as well.
Any service you rely on for convenience can be weaponized against you the moment you begin to rely on it. Streaming used to be a cheap and convenient way to see movies at home. It is now exorbitantly expensive, you need multiple accounts just to get what you want, and any of those movies can be taken from you at any time. And unless you have gotten used to going through the “inconvenience” of owning physical media, you can do nothing about it. Same goes for buying things on Amazon. Same goes for any service like DoorDash etc. These companies WANT you to be reliant on them for convenience so they can do whatever they want to you because, well, what else are you gonna do?
Same thing goes for the uptick in AI. If you train yourself to become reliant on AI for doing basic things, you will be taken advantage of. It is only a matter of a couple years before there are no free AI services. Not only that, but in the usage of AI’s case, it is robbing you of valuable skills that you need to curate that you will be helpless without the moment the AI companies drive in the knife the way they have done with streaming. Delivery. Cable. Internet. Etc. It will happen to AI too. And if you are not practicing skills such as. Writing. You are not only going to be at the mercy of AI companies in the digital world, but you are going to be extremely easy to take advantage of in real life too.
I am begging you to let go of learned helplessness. I am begging you to stop letting these companies TEACH you helplessness. Do something like learn to pirate. It is way more inconvenient at the beginning, but once you know how, it is one less way companies can take advantage of you. Garden. Go to the thrift store (older clothes hold up better anyway). These things take more time and effort, yes, but using time and effort are muscles you need to stretch to keep yourself from being flattened under the weight of our capitalist hellscape.
Inconvenience yourself. Please. Start with only the ways you are able. Do a little bit at a time. But do something.
Hello, hope things will get better for you. I'm sending an ask since I'm unsure of how to handle donations. Specifically, who to donate to.
I've not just reblogged Palestinian fundraisers since late 2023, but I've been approached by many Palestinians expecting me to donate. Overall, I think it's a ton of people.
Should I work hard to donate to everyone? Or should I prioritize? I know I'm just one person but I'd like to know.
Thank you for reading!
Now that aid is coming in, I highly recommend focusing on mutual aid distribution projects by Ghazzawiyeh for Ghazzawiyeh, over specific families' fundraisers (I do not discourage donating to them! But prioritize this if you can, please). Here's a few I trust or who are trusted by those working on the ground:
anas's gastric cancer is metastatic and he's suffering terribly. i've seen videos and photos of him vomiting blood and i don't feel right sharing even if he's given me permission because i shouldn't have to show you my sick friend at his worst for people to care. he is not alone. he still has to care for his parents all while dealing with this illness taking so much from him, and the hospitals in the strip have been left with nothing to treat him. all i want is my friend's safety. all i want is his happiness. please give whatever you can

Crowley on assignment in Japan, finds a sumo wrestler puppet that looks strikingly like Aziraphale, which amuses him to no end.
Crowley attends the next match and recognizes the fair haired, muscular wrestler "Kinoshin" as he throws his opponent, Oushiki, to the ground.
Crowley tries to get Aziraphale's attention surreptitiously, but the angel seems distracted as he departs the match.
Finally, Crowley approaches Aziraphale while he eats his post-match chanko-nabe and they dine together. Aziraphale explains that he's also on assignment, sent to wrestle his way to the top, demonstrating faith and devotion.
Aziraphale shares with Crowley the scrolls he's been collecting while on assignment. Local folk tales, Shinto rituals, and sumo techniques and rules.
Crowley challenges Aziraphale to a match to find out what the angel is really capable of.
Crowley loses. The angel cake is too powerful.
After losing the match, Crowley remarks on the wonders that all the shiko have been doing for that ass.
This is when Crowley learns that Kinoshin-zeki likes to eat out after every match. To regain his strength, of course.
When Aziraphale shows off his collection of shunga books, another demon overhears their subsequent wrestling. Eric quickly runs off to get backup to help the demon Crowley defeat the messenger of light.
The two devise a battle of miracles. They really put on a show for whoever happened to be watching.
Their respective sides satisfied, the two enjoy a final stroll before departing Japan for their next assignments.
I hope that's enough of a story for you all because that's probably all I'll get around to. If it inspires you to make it into a real fic, I'd love to see it!

Anas (@dr-anas96) is severely suicidal and is dying on the inside in every sense of the word. Mentally he feels his life is over, and physically he's barely moving anymore, only occasionally coming to consciousness and vomiting blood.
I'm begging you from the bottom of my heart not to let my friend die. This entire time, during this genocide he's living through, he's been:
Supporting his elderly parents find shelter through the collapse of their tent.
Supporting the children of Gaza by cheering them up through drawing and acting and other activities, as well as teaching them survival skills.
Corresponding and reinforcing solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, and the Black community.
Being an invaluable friend to many, including me.
Now, with some reprieve for Gazans seemingly so close, he is dying. I don't use this word lightly because I don't want to believe my dear friend is dying. I am only saying it because I have no escape from believing it
But I still have hope that we can carry him through this so he can see the end of this difficult road. I am not giving up on him and I'm begging, begging, begging, begging you all not to give up either. We're so close.
I didn't want to share some of the more graphic photos Anas sent me, but his campaign goes days without donations, and he insisted I share these photos. CW for blood under the cut.
In response to the release of this f*ckass game that turns the trauma and scarring of Iraq and its peoples into an entertainment product for Americans and other Westerners to enjoy the murder sprees of Iraqis:
I would like to present a few excerpts from The Mess They Made, The Middle East After Iraq by Gwynne Dyer, and other sources so you don't all forget the real face of the United States in the world.
All are strongly encouraged to reblog.
1). "There were approximately ten demonstrators near a tank [outside an Iraqi military compound eight kilometres from Baghdad airport]. We heard a shot in the distance and we started shooting at them. They all died except for one. We left the bodies there... The survivor was hiding behind a column about 150 metres away from us. I pointed at him and waved my weapon to tell him to get away. Half of his foot had been cut off. He went away dragging his foot. We were all laughing and cheering.
"Then an 18-wheeler [truck] came speeding around. We shot at it. One of the guys jumped out. He was on fire. The driver was dead. Then a Toyota Corolla came. We killed the driver, the other guy came out with his hands up. We shot him too.
"A gunny [gunnery sergeant] from Lima Company came running and said to us: 'Hey, you just shot that guy, but he had his hands up.' My unit, my commander and me were relieved of our command for the rest of the day. Not more than five minutes later, Lima Company took up our position and shot a car with one woman and two children. They all died... In a month and a half, my platoon and I killed more than thirty civilians...
"[Iraqis] would see us debase their dead all the time. We would be messing around with charred bodies, kicking them out of the vehicles and sticking cigarettes in their mouths. I also saw vehicles drive over them. It was our job to look into the pockets of dead Iraqis to gather intelligence. However, time and time again I saw Marines steal gold chains, watches and wallets full of money."
- Staff Sergeant (Ret'd) Jimmy Massey, USMC about the actions of the 7th Marines in early April 2003. Quoted by Natashia Saulnier in "The Marine's Tale." The Independent, May 5, 2004.
2). "Iraq was awash in cash - in dollar bills. Piles and piles of money. We played football with some of the bricks of 100$ bills before delivery. It was a wild-west crazy atmosphere, the likes of which none of us had ever experienced."
- Frank Willis, former senior official, Coalition Provisional Authority.
"American law was suspended, Iraqi law was suspended, and Iraq basically became a free fraud zone. In a free fire zone you can shoot at anybody you want. In a free fraud zone you can steal anything you like. And that was what they did."
- Alan Grayson, Florida-based attorney prosecuting CPA corruption, both men quoted in Dispatches: Iraq's Missing Billions, a Guardian Films production broadcast on Britain's Channel Four on March 20, 2006.
3). "- and it remains true that ordinary U.S. soldiers can shoot any Iraqi by whom they feel threatened without fear of the consequences. (Hundreds, perhaps thousands of Iraqi farmers have been killed because they answered a knock on the door at night with a weapon in their hands in case of robbers, and were immediately shot by U.S. troops as suspected resistance fighters.)"
4). The gang-r*pe and murder of a 14 year old Shia Iraqi girl and her family by U.S. soldiers who claimed the attack was done by 'Sunni insurgents' in an act of secular violence. The main perpetrator received an honourable discharge.
5). "A review of the tortured history of Fallujah since 2003 makes clear that this narrative [that American troops liberated Fallujah from ISIS] is a lie. The current situation in Iraq and neighbouring Syria is the outcome and continuation of the deliberate stoking of sectarian conflict by the American occupation for the purpose of dividing the Iraqi masses and cementing the US grip over the oil-rich Middle East.
After the illegal invasion of Iraq and overthrow of the Baathist regime of Saddam Hussein, Fallujah was the scene of one of the first widely reported crimes by American troops against Iraqi civilians. Two hundred youth demanding the reopening of their school were fired on by troops of the US 82nd Airborne Division. Seventeen were murdered and over 70 wounded.
Over the following months, Fallujah emerged as a centre of Iraqi resistance to the US occupation. By early 2004, the city was effectively controlled by armed groups overwhelmingly made up of former members of the Iraqi Army and local Sunni tribes. Religious-based extremists, such as the small grouping calling itself “Al Qaeda in Iraq,” had only a minor presence." - Source.
6.) The mass bombing of Highway 80 in Iraq, with over 2000 martyrs. The photos of it are nothing short of horrifying.
7). The number of Iraqi deaths under American occupation is estimated to be around 1 000 000 martyrs, nothing short of a genocide, as estimated by the ORB survey. 48% of them died by gunshot wounds (i.e. from direct contact with U.S. soldiers like they portray in this game). The casualties of all Western soldiers that occupied Iraq during this period is 4481.
8). This entire f*cking documentary explaining the aftermath of Iraq, which nobody in the West ever talks about.
In conclusion: There is nothing that can redeem the Western imperial goons who would make a game using this backdrop as entertainment. There is nothing that can make these people human in my eyes, the same way there is nothing that can make them see our region, our people, our martyrs as human beings with worth and dignity. They've always seen us as toys, playthings, target practice. This is no different.
I posted this in June of 2023. If you care about zionist imperialism and zionist aggression and the propaganda that justifies it every day, you should also care about american imperialism and american aggression and the propaganda that justifies it every day.
This and other pro-American military propaganda like Call of Duty should be boycotted just as much as anything BDS asks you to boycott.
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free
I am on the verge of losing my mind, but I will not lose hope. This is my final plea 🚨‼️🇵🇸
I share my story with you again today, filled with hope that you will continue to support us as you did before. Unfortunately, my previous campaign and my Tumblr accounts were shut down, which hindered our efforts to gather support for our families.
For four months, I have tirelessly appealed for help. Despite the challenges, some individuals provided small but valuable donations. Thank you to everyone who shared my campaign or story and to those whose messages of support showed their humanity.
Today, I ask for your support once more. You were our backbone over the past year and a half, and I trust you will continue to be so.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
What My Brother Mohammad and I Need After the Ceasefire:
1. Reuniting with My Family:
I want to travel to reunite with my 10-month-old daughter, whom I haven’t seen since the day she was born, and to be with my wife. This will cost me a lot, and I currently have nothing to cover these expenses.
2.Helping My Brother Mohammad Rebuild His Project:
My brother Mohammad wants to rebuild his small project to start a new life. He is injured and unable to work, so this project is his only way to earn a living.
3.Supporting My Brother’s Pregnant Wife:
Mohammad’s wife is in her last month of pregnancy and could give birth at any moment. She needs some financial support to cover the costs of childbirth and care for the baby.
4.Rebuilding Our Shelter:
We are displaced in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. After the ceasefire, we will need to return to our homes, but the Israeli occupation prevents us from taking our tents from the south to the north. This means we will need to build new tents to provide shelter for our families.
I hope this message reaches compassionate people who can support us in these difficult times.
To our dear brothers and loved ones, to who are of us and we are, I write but these phrases … mahmoud zatr needs your support for Save Moham
some off the cuff thoughts about how go s3 seems like a metaphor for itself
Obviously I dont know what pratchett had planned, and I dont know what, if anything, gaiman had planned (although I have a hunch he would have interjected sort of unneeded metaphor about middle eastern politics, to say it vaguely).
It strikes me as interesting that a plot was being set up wherein the creator of the universe (God or terry pratchett) had departed, and his extant representative (metatron or neil gaiman) was following his own designs-- with the effect of hobbling aziraphale's character inparticular--but in the end crowley and aziraphale can only find true salvation when they are freed from their creators and are fully embraced by humanity (which can metaphorically be abandoning sides, or becoming human, or just living on as beloved characters in the public imagination)
Does this make sense? It just seems interesting to think about.
Our task from this point forward is to continue supporting Palestinians. Keep boosting fundraisers and donate as much as you can. Share news from the Gaza Strip.
Now is not the time to disengage. Do not look away
This blog's initial purpose was to serve as an archive for the genocidal actions of the occupation. I'd been documenting it for years on my blog with little to no active followers to pay attention. Only when it was too late did people pay attention. Do not turn away or the same will happen while your backs are turned.
Another reminder that, if you find yourself angrier at Palmer than Gaiman, Gaiman is aware of that. He knows that people will try to find a woman to blame. Look, he says. My bitch ex-wife is what got your gay angel show canceled.
Be mad at her for leading vulnerable woman to a predator. Be mad at her for stonewalling the cops and writing a shitty song about how she wasn’t complicit. Hell, be mad at her for her moral philosophy boiling down to “people should do things for me for free.” I’ve been carrying a grudge ever since she decided not to pay her touring musicians.
But remember — Palmer made it easier for Gaiman to prey on fans. She is NOT the one responsible. That is not how men like Gaiman operate. He would always find ways to abuse vulnerable people, with or without her.
i can't get over Amanda Palmer's complicity and how nonchalantly she admitted to the victims' faces that she knew her husband was a rapist before leaving them alone with him. like i was a fan of Gaiman for years and so of course i knew of her, and i always felt her whole "im a punk rock feminist icon" schtick was annoying and performative but she seemed harmless. i never could've imagined she would be this fucking awful. get the kid out of there bc neither one of them should have custody
At this point I'm more disappointed in her. I actually liked her a lot and didn't think it was performative (I love me an unshaved shaggy diva). Perhaps in the beginning it wasn't. And perhaps she didn't realise things he's capable of until some point. Obviously in the end it was his unspeakable actions. But man, if only she acted sooner. Or you know, AT ALL?
Also I H A T E how having a child together probably played a role in her complicity. I'm giving her a huge benefit of the doubt here. But I'm sure custody battle was a major factor for her decision to not support Pavlovich in court.
Anyway this was the hard part when she ought to be truly brave and stand behind values that she based her career on. She didn't. She was compliant. Fuck them both. But fuck him especially.
Can we have a moment to grieve for all the lives lost. And how little of worth they were to americans who considered them less than a vote. Hamas had agreed to a deal in the very beginning of all this but biden prolonged their unnecessary suffering. Biden and Israel killed the baby who died in the cold, the child looking for food, the father who was getting flour, the men and women running outdoor kitchens for thousands, the teachers, the students who never got to graduate, the couple that never got to have their wedding, to the freedom fighters killing iof shitheads posting their atrocities and without whom the zionists would have never come to a ceasefire deal, glory to all of our martyrs. They rest on our conscience
In the meantime, donate to the sameer project and the fundraisers you see online. Think of how lucky you are to be able to sleep in a bed and have clean water to drink and how so many are without both in this world
