hello! i saw in a previous ask that you said you transfer your sketches to a blank page when you’re ready to paint. how do you transfer them? is it just copying as closely as possible or do you use a tool to transfer the sketch? love your work, thank you!

Hey! Depends on the thing but yes, for watercolours I prefer to make sketches on cheap paper (because I’m too afraid Id destroy the expensive watercolour paper). Well, usually I use a light table. But windows or glass table with lamp underneath work as well.

So, one day my phone decided to wake me up with Ann Ronell's Beach Boy, which haunted me until I started making this atmospheric thing, uh huh. There won't be any plot whatsoever; well, it's an experiment (for me that is, I'm trying to overcome my comic-making trauma). Will share more pages later on. ✨

So, some time ago, I shared a post about a costume that I was sewing. And here is the reason why I was sewing it - to spend some time on the brig La Grace (that's her on the last photo) and learn a bit about sailing, haha! It was most lovely, and I even managed not to get seasick. Not many photos with me (but you can see me there buttoning my vest) as I was the one holding the camera most of the time, but I have tons of photos with @leona-florianova, who was there too ( ﾉ ﾟｰﾟ)ﾉ

Finally read E. W. Hornung's Raffles books. I kept hearing about it for ages, of course, but always thought it's just something between Holmes and Poirot, never expected it would be so -

"It was Raffles I loved. It was not the dark life we led together, still less its base rewards; it was the man himself, his gayety, his humor, his dazzling audacity, his incomparable courage and resource. "

Bunny is so gone. Also, the fact that it's written by Doyle's brother-in-law somehow makes it even better.

Sketch from a while ago based on a Slovak folk ballad "Ringére". About Death coming for a young man who refuses to go with her because he wants to marry first. To which the Death replies, he can marry her; she is all dressed in white anyway. Not sure if I'm ever gonna finish this, but I've always wanted to draw something inspired by the song.

The tenth annual Figure Skating Championships sketches ⛸ This time, sketched right at the arena as the Championships were in Prague this year. The whole thing was rather too much of a party for me. Still, the sportsmen were wonderful. Previous years can be found here -
