HARUMI MIGHT RETURN IN THE FINAL SEASON OF DRAGON'S RISING [SPOILERS FOR DRAGONS RISING SEASON 4 PART 2]
I think Harumi is returning in Dragons Rising Season 5, and no I am not reaching, hear me out. (This yap session HAS MAJOR SPOILERS, please click away if you wish to not be spoiled.)
Arin and Harumi have undeniable parallels and I do not think nobody else can work as his voice of reason other than Harumi. Both suffered the same casualties and and both have been through similar character arcs. [SPOILER] With Lloyd presumed dead by the end of season 4, (plus him being not really the best fit as Arin's mentor), Harumi is the only one who makes sense to connect with him and pull him back to the right path because she is after all a walking cautionary tale of what his story is leading to.
Harumi is likely finally going to start her redempton arc with her actively helping Arin to do what's right and warning him that whatever Ras is promising him would not help him get his parents back. Arin would undeniably realize how dangerous Ras' plans are and that he cannot choose darkness the way Harumi did in the past. She would help him avoid the same mistakes she made before it's too late and I also feel like she would slowly earn the trust of the ninja back during Lloyd's absence.
I feel like Lloyd's presumed death has also set the stage for Harumi's redemption to not be tied to him as his absence will make it more clear that she is seriously changing for good. Her motivations to become better would not be because of him or be her trying to earn his favor, but rather her own personal growth as she finally chooses to do what is right like what her younger self always aspired to be.
I also feel like she and Nya might develop a friendship eventually in the future as she had genuinely admired Nya before things went south. Nya was someone she looked up to and it would be no surprise if Nya would eventually see good in her after Harumi earns her trust again. Of course I do think Harumi will be more humble and softer when she returns. Nya might see her change for the better and she will probably be the first ninja to trust her again. I think Harumi's redemption will be really slow but worthwhile. As for the other ninja, I do think they will be very defensive against her, especially Kai who would likely attack. Also I just really love sisterhood y'know? I would love to finally see Nya and Harumi be close friends.
Now, time to talk about the elephant in the room. Lloyd and Harumi. I don't wanna get into shipping but I will just mention it here anyway because it is kinda relevant.
Now listen, I ship these two. I grew up with this ship. I have been shipping these two since 2018. 8 years, mind you. And here is the thing... I just wanna say this out loud for the record... If the writers are going to try anything with them, I really do not see any sudden romance between Lloyd and Harumi once they reunite. Especially with Akita's return and the whole love triangle business with Beniro. I want Lloyd to BREATHE.
But the real reason I do not want anything major between her and Lloyd yet is because most of all I do not want my girl's redemption arc to be all for a man. SHE DESERVES BETTER THAN THAT. That's why if there was one thing Lloyd's absence would benefit, then it would be Harumi being able to truly shine and for their relationship to SLOWLY transition to a more healthier dynamic. I would love to see them actually become friends. Lloyd's efforts to see the good in her would pay off.
So anyways, yeah, to conclude, I hope Harumi returns in Season 5. I hope they do my girl justice if she ever comes back. That is all!!!!
P.S. For the record, I didn't watch the leaks. Heck I only know this info because of TannerFishies saying Akita is back and the comment section in the video confirming Lloyd's death.
I did research but I did NOT watch part 2. Anyways, loveya!!!
