Arin with the scroll of forbidden Spinjitzu (fic idea)

 from my understanding, the scroll of forbidden Spinjitzu makes the user powerful and corrupt them overtime as a side effect of them being consumed by the elemental energy. But what happens if someone without powers like Arin starts to use it for their own Spinjitzu techniques?

And with the added account of Arin’s shatter spin corrupting their Spinjitzu it would be very fun to think about if some of that were to play a part in their sort of corruption or not corruption!

My idea when I first thought about this was that maybe since Arin doesn’t have a physical ability maybe the scroll would amplify his Spinjitzu to a higher level like maybe his moves are more effective and maybe instead of corruption it’s helping him!

Alternatively, if you want to go with a more darker idea maybe Arin gets corrupted by his shatter spin moves every time he uses Spinjitzu and it gets worse overtime maybe forming in some sort of sickness or something from the lack of elemental energy balancing the scrolls magic in someway!

(I know that in Cannon it would probably do nothing because he has no powers, but it’s just fun to think about you know)

All in all, this is pretty short and I just wanna get my idea out there !

Do you think that Lloyd, if he was rlly tired or particularly comfortable with a person, would like say their name in the Oni or Dragon language? Like obvi the person can’t understand what Lloyd’s saying bc I headcannon you have to be Oni to speak/fully understand Oni language and you have to be dragon to speak/fully understand the dragon language (unless your someone like Wyldfyre and are trained to recognize and understand the language)

Anyway i think i’d be rlly cool if Lloyd would slip into Oni or Dragon languages bc it’s wired into him and overtime ppl close to him have learned to recognize certain sequences of noises as their names, phrases, or words. Maybe they’ve even gotten to the point where they know that that specific growl at that specific pitch means that whoever’s speaking is hungry or tired or smth like that. 

But yeah. The ninja using pattern recognition skills to match certain noises Lloyd makes to names, phrases, words, emotions, etc. When Lloyd’s really pissed he’ll scream in Oni which makes it 100x more terrifying bc Lloyd doesn’t loose his cool a lot, his anger is more cold and passive aggressive, so if he’s screaming and it’s in Oni (which already sounds pretty cursed) then something really bad happened.

(Arin has, on more than one occasion, tried to mimic the noises Lloyd makes to be able to talk to him better and has failed miserably each time. Lloyd finds it endlessly endearing and actually cried the first time Arin tried)

Sora did not just use "Surname" to fill in the blanks of her fake Imperium ID. It's a placeholder, until she found a true family who calls her their own. A family she gets to choose for herself, after being stuck with parents who did not love her as their own.

Perhaps that's why her actual last name --- her parents' last name --- has not been revealed, even after four seasons of the show. Just as she was seen as worthless by them, her last name is worthless, therefore the knowledge of it would be worthless to us, the audience.

But that doesn't answer why she uses "Surname." Why would she need a placeholder as a last name if she could just come up with a real one for herself? She has the freedom and means to do so, anyway.

At the time she filled in the information for her fake ID, she was struggling with her worth, who she was, what she's capable of. Throughout season one, she tried to solve her inability to harness her Elemental powers by herself as if that could prove her own worth, yet when it came down to it, when she finally confronted her parents after all those years, she realized that that didn't matter. She already had an abundant amount of worth. What mattered were the people in her life who reminded her of that worth. Those are the people she will choose as her family.

She has made her choices, yes, excellent choices, but the only person who she has consistently, persistently chosen, was Arin Nived. He reminded her by supporting her, by reassuring her, by staying with her, by choosing her over and over again. He could've left her on the caged trunk of the truck that was supposed to carry her away, and said goodbye to their friendship. But he didn't. He reminded her yet again by rescuing her, then sealing their friendship in an everlasting vow.

She doesn't need to give herself a new name --- she already did it for Ana. She has always been a Nived (although using the name itself would imply...certain things, but I digress).

Perhaps she needed to realize that, too. Perhaps she needed time to come to terms with it, to finally accept not just his family name, but the love, warmth, and companionship that came with it, hence the use of "Surname" as a placeholder. And perhaps, by "Surname," she was giving him time to realize and accept it as well.

In due time, he does. He calls her as a part of his family, just as she did when she earned her True Potential, and saved his life.
