Secondly, all coffee is served in really small cups (as opposed to your standard coffee chain sizes) these guys drink it like shots “Lattes” aren’t a thing, unless you want to be seen drinking hot milk at a public establishment at your big age, order a latte macchiato (ofc i can and will drink milk at leisure so this didnt hurt that bad lol) Tiramisu is no longer simple dessert there, its become a brand, tiramisu flavoured ice-cream/smoothies/crushed ice etc -- its unholy

also down south in naples (mafia land) they do this thing where people “find” non-metered parking spaces and watch your car for you but like expect payment in return (~3 euros) its seedy af but cant complain since you can squeeze like 5hrs from em compared to paying 5 times the price to a gotdamn meter

eyup chums, i spent most of my august on holiday in Italy w/ some ‘acquaintances/travel partners’ (8.5/10 on the degenerate scale)

i mean i helped plan this entire road-trip of sorts to experience as much of the country// all in all i think we did like ~1000 miles in total, starting in Turin and ending in Naples so like in the end it did feel definitely worth it imho but my god things for sure could have been better.

like firstly you’re probably better off NOT renting a car since driving anywhere south of Rome is like one endless nightmare (even though all the scenic roads are 10/10).

this heatwave really is something man, I went to the park to lie in the shade//play mini-golf//take a boat ride//get ice cream thinking there might at least be some sorta breeze but even that was like 33 degrees never been so tempted to jump off a boat in my life
