dead. that's it, really. (Kotone/N)
There’s too many for the Unovian Trainer to take in for once. As a humble-looking type of guy, he wouldn’t be the type to show off his Legendary to everyone else in the valley. He only meant to use Reshiram for traveling purposes to get to the next life.
At least, N was relieved that he isn’t the only Trainer around in the area. Reshiram gave its Trainer a look that meant to be serious as they seem to communicate with each other silently. Once N broke off contact with the Pokemon, N lifted his cap off his head while he tried to register the current situation but he immediately shrugged it off.
Death is something punishable by Arceus. As far as he’s concerned, he hasn’t done anything wrong either but tried to correct his mistakes in the past as a self-proclaimed Pokemon liberator. He is still working on the socializing with humans part.
"I dunno, I guess, like… Is this really death?" she asked. "Like, what do we do now? It looks like this is a place where people live! Are we dead to live? You know what I mean?”
"I expected this myself unfortunately." N responded while he looked around the valley. Of course, the valley seem to hide a sinister secret. Whether it’s a good thing or not, he wouldn’t dare to find out. It’s a one thing that N can agree on. "I seem to understand your point but for some reason, we are alive in a way."
"Like!! Y’know!! If this is death, why the frick do I feel, like, no different than I did when I was chilling out in my room last I remember? Where’s god? Why are we in this fully functioning place? Isn’t death supposed to be heaven or hell? I always thought heaven would be… not so gloomy! Unless we’re in hell… In which case, I want to see a damn manager because, uh, I’m not perfect by any means but I have not done anything to deserve eternal damnation. You feel me?”
As more questions are thrown at the said person. N probably doesn’t know how to react to them. The girl seem to be curious with a lot of things. N has understood her statement while he listened and silently nodded. Reincarnation is different. However, N didn’t feel that they are reincarnated. It may look like they are summoned to another place through the process of ‘death’.
"Have you been here long? My name’s Lyra, by the way! But you can call me Kotone,"
"I recently started earlier though my next destination is the Old Town." N smiled at the introduction. Kotone seemed like a cute name.. but then he has heard other unusual names from before. "My name is N. I prefer if you call me this way. I’m also from a region called Unova." Using his real name to someone may be an understatement. He needs to gain their trust first.
"N! Well, that's easy to remember!" Kotone laughed, reaching to shake his hand quickly and firmly. "It's good to meet you!"
She looked over her shoulder for a moment, checking to see if Ninetails was still behind her. He was - as loyal as ever; just lazily lounging in the grass. Kotone was glad to come across someone with Pokemon. If she and N wound up becoming friends, maybe their Pokemon could even hang out! Death probably got lonely for them, too.
"Old Town, huh? I was headed there, too! Do you mind if I join you?" she asked, hoping he wasn't taking her in as too forward. While Kotone could be very forward and flirtatious, she could straighten our her priorities; especially in a time like this. "Getting to know our new area is important, don't ya think? And having two Pokemon at our sides is better than one!"
The brunette grinned, warm and friendly. As if on cue, Ninetails made his way over to where the two trainers were talking. The fox could sense the loving and natural aura around N and lightly nuzzled the young man's shoulder.
"Hey! He likes you! That's great!" Kotone marveled. "He's usually super picky and snobby about the people he decides to warm up to."
She ruffled her Ninetails' fur affectionately.
"I'm sorry for bombarding you with all those totally unanswerable questions, N! I guess I found myself super freaked out by all this."
