I’m just thinking about something…t-..that’s all…” She chuckles yet again..fiddling with her fingers…even through she got used to the fact that kou will only see her as a friend of his…she still has feeling’s for the basketball player. She then listen to what he was going to do for the day and respond’s “Oh Okay then! It’s lovely weather today..so I think that’s a great idea! I-..I hope you enjoy it then!” The moon said with a soft nervous tone in her voice….wondering if he was going to ask if she wanted to join..even through he said that he was going by himself..honestly…she hope that will happen since she want’s to be near him.

Kou didn't mind letting Ai tag along. She was always great company and so nice to him. Kou wondered to himself why she was so nice to him out of everyone. He knew there was more than good looks when it came to Ai, but Kou wondered if Ai knew that too.

Miss “Trial of the Dragon”? Did he just try try joke around by comparing her kung-fu ability to her favorite kung-fu film? He’s in for it now. She’s going to torture him just a little during this date. She knows the best torture tactics. She has it in writing… in her head.

Kou was beginning to regret coming to Narukami-kun's karaoke party that seemed almost out of the blue. Sure, Kou knew everyone there, but none of them would prefer to talk to Kou over each other. Kou wanted to get up and sing, but he'd never sung in front of a crowd before, or even him own family for that matter. It was Kou's turn to go up and sing, beads of sweat were dripping down his neck. "W-would anyone like to sing instead of me? I'm not feeling like singing right now. Maybe next time Yu, sorry..." Narukami-kun edged Kou on to sing for a good five minutes before they settled on a duet. Great, now Kou had two problems. He had to ask someone to sing with him and then sing in front of people. Kou sat there, feeling awful, wishing someone would go up and divert what felt like every eye in the room from his pathetic self. "... Why.... why me.... why did I come her..?" Won't anyone save me from this anxiety hell.

Kou didn’t want to give away all the details, if any, before knowing that the young detective could help him with his problem. There was no reason to hide any information, but it felt more like a T.V. show to Kou this way.

Well, Naoto highly doubted it was something big like a murder or a theft. Most likely, something petty that could be solvable in a few mere minutes or hours.

"Well, it's very sad to say this, but, there have been multiple thefts preformed unto the basketball team lately, and we don't know who by. Basketballs have been going missing from the storage with every passing week, and we have no way of finding out the culprit because there are no security cameras in the gym. It seems hopeless for us."

Could this younger girl really be smart enough to find the person behind the theft of multiple basketballs? Basketballs that were stored in plain sight, too? Kou sure hoped so.

  Chie was now blushing and punching him in the arm. Just because she likes kung-fu movies doesn’t mean she should become them! What an idiot! Despite this, her punches were fairly gentle… she thinks. she doesn’t know her own strength.

"Don’t try to avoid my question by doing a complete 180 for your own amusement, you idiot!"

Kou tried his best to hide the pain he felt when Chie punched him. It wasn't too bad, but if were to show any pain he might look weak to her and that wouldn't be good. Kou sucked it up and took his lumps.

"Fair enough," Kou chuckles. "Basketball is just a hobbie of mine. The reason I'm so dedicated to it is because I don't have any other things to do besides play. If things like this, going on dates or hanging out with friends happened more often I wouldn't play basketball as much. Now, why do you love kung-fu so much, miss "Trial of The Dragon" ?" 

Kou was having a great time flustering Chie with every sentence he spoke as they walked down the road from Yasogami High. If flustering her caused her to punch him more often however, Kou might re-think teasing the poor girl. The poor, frighteningly strong girl.

  "Whoa there, dude, when the hell did I say that?" He’s on the… defensive? No, not defensive, but he’s definitely a little insulted. If only a little. Though he can’t deny that Kou’s words are right.

God bless you, Kou, you’re keeping his mind distracted. In fact, he no longer feels the weight of the nightmares on his shoulders. He’ll be fine for another day.

"Well, I mean… We can all have troubles in love, right? Not that I’m saying I’m in love or anything! … You sure?" He only asks out of habit. Yosuke has never felt comfortable letting his feelings known about another, but… Maybe he can trust Kou.

Kou was beginning to feel more comfortable with Yosuke as they began talking for a while. Kou could relate to how dodgy Yosuke was being with his words, and for some reason that make it easier for Kou to talk to Yosuke.

Blue optics danced around the scene of the moment. Some sort of basketball game, it seemed. Naoto was never good at sports, and she was fine with it. She was always more into science fiction-like things, such as robots and lasers. So when one of the members of the basketball team came up to her after the game, just as she was about to leave, the small detective felt surprised.

"Do you need something?"

  Chie simply nodded and listened to Kou’s explanation behind his goals for after he graduates. While they talked, she opened the front door for the exit for him and waited on him before she continued walking. Then, when he said he wasn’t going to keep doing basketball after he finished, her jaw dropped.

"No way! I mean, you can do what you want when you are done with school and all, but to give up on basketball for even more school?! Who are you, and what have you done to the Kou Ichijo I’ve known my whole life?"

"I knew you'd say something cute like that," Kou chuckled. "I might still play it where ever I go, but it's not the most important thing to me anymore. I've decided that the people in my life and the relationships I have are more important than practicing 24/7 for basketball."

Kou was in a great mood. His life was right where he wanted it to be in his senior year of high school. He knew what he wanted to do with his life in the future and he was in a position to enjoy himself now. Kou really appreciated being here with Chie.

"You're the one that should be questioned anyway!," Kou continued to joke. "If you were the real Chie, you'd devote your life to becoming a kung-fu master that is in kung-fu movies!"

Chie crossed her arms and looked away, her cheeks still rosy, but when eh asked her what she wanted to do with her life, she smiled when she gave her response.

"I want to be a cop. It’s been a thing of mine or a while now. I juts wanna protect the people that I care about the most in any way I can, and becoming a police officer is the perfect way to do it! What about you? I bet you are going to be a famous basketball star or something."

"Wow, a cop huh? That's very impressive. Protecting the ones your care about is a very good reason, too."

Kou knew there was something about Chie he liked. The fact that she was so righteous and wanted to devote herself to help others was really amazing to him.

"Re-really!? You think I could be a famous basketball star? That's very kind of you. I've decided to give up on basketball after high school though. I believe my time would be better spent focusing on my studies at a university overseas, learning about different types of people while I study the regular subjects. I want to learn about others so I can be more understand and considerate of others, making myself a better person in the process. Kinda lame, isn't it?"

Kou felt a bit nervous about telling Chie about his plans after high school. A good number of people have given him grief about traveling over seas to go to university saying things like "What can you learn there that you can't here?" or "It's much more practical to study here."

Chie blushed slightly and smiled. She started walking down the halls with him. His compliments are taking her by surprise.

"There’s no need to be so formal, idiot. You’re embarrassing me."

"Your words say embarresed, but your face says happy. If being formal is what keeps that smile on your face, I suppose I'll just have to keep doing that," Kou smirked.

Kou thought that everything was going well so far. At least, if her blushing was any sign, he was. Kou believed that small talk would suffice until they got to Junes.

"So Chie, what do you want to do with your life? Something super amazing, I'm sure. I want to help as many people as I can with my life," Kou said as they walked down the stairs to the entrance of Yasogami High together.
