silentbluewings:
His brow furrowed, and he found it hard to stay his hand from reaching out to brush the hair from Kou’s eyes.
“Is that wise? I might hurt you,” he fretted. He wanted nothing more than to take the other into his arms and shield him from whoever had done this to him. He squeezed his hand back before very reluctantly letting go. “I’ll go and get something to ease the pain, then. And if you’re sure, I would like to…’snuggle’.”
He leaned in, pressing his forehead to Kou’s as he had done with Aoba so many times before. A quiet assurance that he’d be back. He headed out of the room to look for the painkillers.
And, again, he was back as quickly as humanly possible with the medicine and a glass of water. “Can you sit up?” he asked.
Such pleasant gestures made him feel warm and fuzzy despite the pain still lingering in his body. Ren was so nice and sweet, a drowsy smile making it’s way to Kou’s face as he lay there following the gentle actions.
Ren was gone and back in a flash anyway, prompting him to sit up.
Could he? He winced a bit as he tried, but managed somewhat okay even if he couldn’t sit up fully, shaky hands reaching for the water and pills. “I’ll be okay, might... need a bit of help though, my hands are still all shaky.” It was embarrassing, but he didn’t want to spill water everywhere either, which would be equally embarrassing in front of Ren.
