I'M BACK. STEBBUNS AS THIS BUNNY
stebbins said “im the rabbit… im the false hope on the string the dogs chase…” and everyone went BUNNY BOY
the real recession indicator is how much horror is EATING this year
no lie bring her back 2025 had me walking out the cinema face wet with tears feeling like i was gonna vomit. now that’s good horror. fuck terrifier i need films that peel back a layer of deeply buried trauma and remind you what it is to be a vulnerable unprotected child. gore can be good and sexy but it’ll never fuck me over like bring her back did
it’s genuinely been such a good period for horror lately. i mean sinners, the long walk, bring her back, 28 years later, the bone temple, together, frankenstein… we are thriving
I feel like as a member of the TLW fandom we must hold people accountable; this morning I was scrolling through TikTok stories and came across a link to a Twitter post calling out actor Tut Nyuot (who portrayed Art Baker) for sending an inappropriate, unsolicited piece of media to a fan. Click here for the full story and tweet — but this should be a reminder to all to not let yourself get caught up in parasocial relationships when it comes to actors you like. You do not know these people beyond the screen. My heart goes out to the victim.

new sex position were you dont touch at all. in fact one of you dies
this is saw to me. i finished that first film feeling like i’d seen a profoundly new sort of intimacy that i would never personally witness again
world where they remake the long walk except gay sex is legal in the tlw universe this time
So I was looking for any official illustrations from tlw to compare the art to the movie, and i found this illustrated version of the book from centipede press!! The art is gorgeous but It looks like it's out of print now :(
oh wow this is gorgeous
The first of Ray and Pete's final warnings being because they were laughing together--at the Major, no less--is absolutely killing me
this is great and im obsessed with it but imagine being stebbins and hearing these two pick up a warning and you know it’s almost done and any time you’d leave ‘em in the dust. but right now you’re checking your speed and realising these fuckers are gonna beat you. this cute new couple giggling at your daddy are going to be the reason you get shot in the head. stebbins was actually extremely nice during his last conversation cause i would have called them words no one ever heard before
art baker how i sobbed for you
i do think people who say ‘the film wasn’t as tragic because at least the major was killed’ are kind of looking at this the wrong way. like yes the major died but we have virtually no information about the world - is there a successor? a puppet government? a chain of command? - and that’s the point. we’re not supposed to cheer when the major dies and it’s not a high point because the film is about characters. we spend all this time with pete, watching him survive insurmountable challenges. when he shoots the major it is a tragedy. he’s giving up all the beauty in the world to honour or avenge his brother (don’t come at me that’s a whole other post, call him what you want) and he’s never going to be the same. he’s going against every principle he holds.
the major isn’t even a person! he shows up, yells about testicles, and kills fathers. he’s a stand in, he’s the bad guy, fascist america with sunglasses and a uniform. the end of the film is never about a victory over fascism, although that is a theme. the end is about how the long walk took everything from pete, including what he never thought he could lose, and how cycles of vengeance and grief perpetuate themselves. just because pete succeeds does not make this a positive! he will never be the same! he will never get ray back and he will never recover and we see this and we see him realise this and that’s why he keeps walking, because there’s no way off this ride even if you kill the major, even if you win, there is no victory! there is no escape! you can never stop walking!!
finally got the long walk book and y’all were not lying about ray’s obsession with stebbins holy SHIT.
my favourite thing in the world rn is watching someone get the book and go ‘christ ray is obsessed with stebbins’ and the next person goes ‘oh word? lemme pick this up. holy shit-‘ and it just never ends, there’s always more people finally getting their copy and realising king perfectly described to have a crush on a biy and not notice it in the sixties
