Thanks for playing the game. as for now I am not working on the game engine at all (adding new game features or so). Those take quite some time to plan and create the new features.

To be honest, I was thinking about rewriting the whole game into a web version and host it somewhere so everyone could play from their smartphones as well. I have almost zero experience with web development so it will take quite some time to run it smoothly. I have a spare web server that I could use anyway.

For now, there are a few things that I could do is adding new items/furniture, which does not involve coding.

Hello everyone. In my last post I mentioned about adding a chat feature to the game so you can interact with your megus (and I can practice some of AI stuff I am studying right now). I wanted to ask you what kind of topics would you like they to talk about? Please send me your ideas (anything, really) so I can have a better view on what to make.

hi, i asked a long time ago about the source code and somehow i never saw your response and got caught up in other things but if you ever see this i'd still be interested in seeing what i can do as far as maintaining the project

Hello all.I am really sorry about semi abandoning this project. 2016 was terrible in all aspects. My doctorate and job hunting at same time was making my life miserable.

But I have good news! I finished my PhD thesis yesterday so I have some space to breathe right now. I am catching up with all the things I missed this past year, which include this game.Hopefully I will update some missing features and/or port the game to another system, probably java and/or swift for jailbroken iOS (I cant put this on app store due to copyright reasons). I want to refactor the code to clean up some any weird stuff I added without noticing.

I am thinking about level mechanics too, I still have the EXP thresholds from the game but I need to implement the leveling/money mechanisms. I wil probably make it as a separate game if I do so.Lastly, I am studying AI programming so maybe I can make some chatbotmegus if everything goes really well. : )

My UI designer (my wife) is working on some design updates that should be shipped anytime soon.By the way, about sharing the files, I finally bundled the visual studio project codes into a github. I will upload the xcode projects as well on this week.

i don't know if this project is still being maintained/if anyone checks this blog but if so i was wondering if it would be possible to obtain the source code for the OSX version of Megu?

Hello. its been a while since I last updated the game. I’m really, really sorry for it >.>. I’ve been very busy last year and this year too so I didn’t have time to work on the game.I will bundle the source codes, files and the specification for the game for both versions so if anyone is willing to take up the project I will be very happy.

when i click the icon for megu a window pops up saying "“Megu 2.0” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer." do you know what i should do?

Hello, big fan of your work here and I've seem to come into some troubles! With the mac version, the controls seem to not be working correctly for me. For example 'del' flips the furniture around, and I've found no possible way to delete furniture. Is this a known problem? Should I just delete the app and re-download? Regardless of these, I cannot thank you enough! finally my megus back in my arms!

I will check on my version but maybe it is something with the keyboard settings you’re using .You don’t need to change the settings, try using the insert, home, end, page up and page down, one of these should be able to flip the furnitures. If it does not work I will try to get it futher

I met my megu in morning, but now SDL2.dll is not founded. What can I do?(sorry I can't speak English well T.T)

I guess this goes for most of the errors about SDL2.dll I have received.Steps for solving:1- Check if the file SDL2.dll is located on the game folder. If not, redownload the game from the download page.

2- If yes, try to open Megu 2.0.exe file from the game folder. It should work properly.3- Create a shortcut of Megu 2.0.exe and put it on your desktop so you can access the game easily. Do not copy/drag Megu2.0.exe out of the folder!!! This will gives an error.

4- If the shortcut does not work, move the game folder to another location (to personal documents file or something out of program files). this may solve.I hope this fixes all the problems, sorry for the trouble.Regards

Maybe instead of making it for jailbroken phones only, you can just do a downloadable option similar to GBA4ios

I heard this app is not working anymore, anything with a similar concept uploaded to iTunes app store could easily lead to copyright infraction rules. I am willing to hear suggestions if they do exist, though.

As stated before, it would be a lovely idea to have an iOS/Android version for this game... However, KPM 2.0 is unofficial material, there are copyright issues that make the app versions impossible to be done, we are very sorry! :/

In 2013, the creator of MEGU said in a tweet that someday, MEGU will continue, answering a fan who asked if it will continue soon. There's still hope!! (I think :p)

ok, so i have spent the last few years being upset over this games disappearance, and is this a way of playing my favorite game ever again? if so, how do i download?

Okay so I've downloaded and extracted all the files for Megu 2.0, and it shows that the msvcp120.dll file is missing. I made sure to read the FAQ to find a solution and I tried to go to the link that was there. I clicked the link, and it sent me to an error page, saying that the page I was looking for could not be found. Is there any other way to fix the missing file problem?
