Seokmin and you had been best friends for several years, starting from your second year of junior high school and leading well into university, which you were both a few years into. In the beginning you had been simply friends who got along well, but around the time you graduated from junior high school it was apparent that neither of you really had a friend closer than the other, and you were each other’s first option whenever it came to opening up about whatever was upsetting you or hanging out.

Starting your studies in the same university - in the same program, even - had only brought the two of you closer, and you had spent countless hours in his dorm room, much like he had in yours. By the present you both knew each other’s roommates almost as well as your own ones.

And because you were best friends and his dorm was closer to where most of your lectures were, you had, once again, ended up sleeping over in his room.

“Y/N, wake up.” Seokmin’s groggy voice made its way to your ears with ease, and it made you frown. You grumbled in your sleep, refusing to open your eyes, and felt your eyebrows knit into an even more annoyed frown when he called your name again, this time louder. He sighed, and soon you felt his hand on your shoulder, shaking you lightly. “Come on, the lecture starts in fifteen minutes.”

coming up with a member was honestly hard (and i’m still not 100% sure) but just a wheel spinner to decide for me and it chose chan.

chan would be quick to suggest maybe going on a short drive with him for a break. tugging on some random hoodie over himself while bringing a blanket to cover you up with.

he would let the song play over the radio, while the two of you drove through seoul. occasionally, he’d be glancing your way with a smile on his face because you were beginning to nod off. his hand would settle on your thigh, drawing small shapes there while he continued to drive, eventually finding the two of you out near one of the beaches a few hours from seoul. he’d keep some light driving music over the stereo finally slipping himself into the backseat and coaxing you to join him, pulling the blanket over the two of you.

he’d admire the way you looked as you slept, eventually letting himself doze off after making sure the car was off and locked. when he woke up a few hours later, it would be to your shaking, and he’d just have to laugh at the fact that that was how you spent the night together. on your own small getaway.
