In June, a huge fan event will be held in Japan where various fandoms gather. Within that event, there will be a special "only event" (a dedicated space) just for Kraven the Hunter!
Since this is such a rare opportunity, we are planning to create a fan-made book (Doujinshi) to celebrate the movie and share all the research weâve done.
As a special project for this book, weâve put together "50 Questions for Kraven the Hunter Fans."
While our own answers will be featured in the book, Ato created these questions and we thought: âWhy not share them with the global Kraven community?â We are so curious to know how fans outside of Japan are enjoying the characters and the story!

This was the car the kidnappers who kidnapped Dmitri were in. It was an incredible car; they made their escape through London's tourist attractions and managed to reach their destination even after Sergei rammed into it, ripped the doors off, and smashed the roof.
It's an older model, probably between 2011 and 2014.
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is apparently a standard car driven by shady characters in the film industry, so perhaps it has an image of being durable and hard-working. If it's a car from a country with the Autobahn, it's gotta be sturdy, right?

"Brothers of Dissonance" is a Dimitri x Sergei coupling-only event held within "Hoshi ni Negai wo 2026 Day 1" (hosted by Akaboo) on June 28, 2026.
In Japan, if you print your doujinshi through affiliated printing companies, you receive one "Shinkan Card" (New Release Voucher) for every 5,000 yen spent. By gathering 50 of these cards and submitting a request to Akaboo, fans can officially make a specific coupling event happen.
Both Ato and I (Yoi), who attended the event, are keeping our own records of the journey leading up to the big day.

Even with an R-rating, Kraven the Hunter is surprisingly wholesome.
I wouldâve loved to see a younger Sergei dealing with a tiny snow leopard cub, too.
I wonder what kind of life Sergei led in Siberia? I want to see him renovating that dilapidated dome house, and honestly, I just wanted to see more of his day-to-day life.

I actually had a lot of fun re-arranging the speech bubbles and sound effects to make the translated version!
The monastery in Turkey where Sergei infiltrates to rescue the kidnapped Dmitri.
Apparently, public access was restricted for a long time due to restoration work, but it fully reopened in 2021. It seems the timing for the filming was just perfect.
Sergei goes on such a wild rampage that you canât see them at all, but apparently, the frescoes there are famous.
Itâs also one of the few scenes where we get to see Sergei wearing long sleeves!
In this illustration by Yoi, she captured such a cool detail: just like humans, predatory animals have both eyes on the front of their faces. So when a humanâs eyes glow, they look exactly like a lion! I absolutely love this scene.
This is from last year when I was spiraling over Kraven the Hunter.
My headcanon is that if theyâre dressing up for a club to meet a formal dress code, Iâd love to see Sergei wearing a men's corset... just once.
I wonder if Dmitri has a corset in Sergei's exact size tucked away in his closet?

I did some research and found out that bulletproof glass (like in Kraven's world) is technically harder to break than Shinkansen windows. So maybe we should go easy on Sergei for his window struggles... but still!
Tangerine is just a "normal" human, and yet he managed to smash through the Shinkansen glass and climb back onto a moving train through sheer willpower. That was honestly so impressive. ðªâšïž

People said he looks like Jason Momoa in his game design, but I drew this because I really want to see the movie version of Kraven wear this costume!
The tied-up long hair and the braided beard are so cute, and the sexy, wild outfit is just so cool. I really hope Aaronâs Kraven gets to wear this costume. I love the mix of wildness and beauty that Aaron brings to Kraven.

 How long have you been involved in creating fanworks?
I don't create fanworks, I don't think I have so much dedication in me or any talent whatsoever. But I madly respect the fans who do. I aspire to be as cool as you guys.
To be honest, I didn't know what to expect since this movie was the first in a long time of me not keeping up with SSU. I thought it would be about already mature Kraven confronting Spiderman, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was an origin story.
Calypso has my heart here. I mean, the movie barely touches her backstory, I would like to know more about her granny maybe and/or about Calypso developing her magic abilities.
Was anything about the film different from what you imagined?
Oh, definitely. I thought that CGI would be betterð€ But honestly, I thought that there would be more blue/green screen stuff. Imagine my surprise when I found out that absolute most of the scenes were filmed live!
How did your impression of him change after this film? If this was your first time seeing him, please tell us about the impact he made on you.
I was pretty fond of Aaron's acting before, to be honest. Even if we're not taking Pietro Maximoff into account. I was impressed of Aaron's ability to embody his characters, especially Sergei. That man really is a shapeshifterð€
Ooh, there's a lot, actually. The way Sergei appears from the shadows, eyes glowing yellow, like a big wild cat. The way he crawls and stalks the guards like prey. The physicality of it all is just mesmerizing.
Fun fact! Did you know that humans are persistence predators and wild cats are ambush predators? Guess what? Our boy Sergei is BOTH!
 What do you think was a bit of a letdown in this movie?
The script and the villains. Script had a bunch of plot holes and could be better, really. Oh, and CGI. I understand the Rhino CGI might be hard to do, but how did they manage to mess up the animals in the big year of 2024?ð€§
What do you think is Sergei Kravinoffâs biggest flaw?
His arrogance. It shows especially well in his conversation with Calypso at his house in Siberia. He's so sure about himself that he underestimates his enemy which ends in him being almost killed and Calypso has to save him. Again.
How did your impression of him change after watching this film? If it was your first time seeing him, please share what you loved about his performance.
It's the eyes, really. I like when actors can act with their eyes. I liked how Fred showed Dmitri grow from dainty fashion-loving artistic gentleman to the boss of criminal empire. Sent shivers down my spine.
Tell us what you find appealing about Dmitri Kravinoff.
He's very smart and talented, sadly his talents are overlooked by his father. And he's very forgiving. To a certain point. And I like his sense of fashion. Our runway king!
What do you think about Rhino as the final boss of this film?
Meh. To me, it seemed like most of his motivation to mess up with Kravinoff family was Nikolai humiliating him at the hunt. Bro was seething for sixteen years, he's so petty, I can'tð
Kraven the Hunter has some great surreal humorâwhich scene made you chuckle the most?
I love the scene when Sergei clocked the cheating man by smelling the perfume on him, BUT I cackled uncontrollably at the scene where Rhino screams/wheezes. Like, bro, what was that for ð
Tell us about the charm of Foreigner, the powerful enemy who pushes Kraven to his limits.
Ah, Chris is so... [heart-eyes emoji] ahem... He's great in this role, really. Though, as a person who didn't know about this character before I'd say the character is pretty blank and his backstory and motivation are rather vague.
Which is your favorite among the unreleased scenes in the special features?
The one where Sergei comes to the family residence and cuddles the dogs𥺠I also have my favorite BTS video where Aaron says "You seem tired, man. Clearly, you're having a tantrum." (It's from the set of the final battle)
Kraven the Hunter is known for having background characters with somehow very strong personalities. Who is your favorite?
The mom, obvi. What happened to her before the psych ward? Was she really sick or Nikolai just got rid of her this way? Why was she seeing spiders? So many questions and no answers... ð
What sort of person do you think would like this film?
Definitely not for a regular MCU fan. I think the movie is for someone who can appreciate the stunts and the live filming, for someone who likes complicated family dynamics and a bit of magic.
Which character would you like to show this film to?
Oh god, I would sit Sergei down, show him the movie (and then a PowerPoint presentation on where and when he was wrong) and tell him in the most stern tone possible: "See? That's where your arrogance led you. Now hear that? That's the doctor's name. Go fetch!"
What was the strangest thing you did under the influence of this film?
I mean, rewatching it five times in a short span of time and six time in total is pretty normal, riiiight? ð Does being stuck in the roleplay loop for multiple months count?
I'm all for the sequel, tho sadly the studio probably won't do itð
