Fandom friendship is:

Sending voice recordings back and forth across the country with a friend you’ve never met in person.

Being able to send pics of your fandom fave with concise, inspiring messages like “must. Bite. Neck.”

Brainstorming fics you know neither of you will ever write.

The way months or years of talking about your favorite shows and characters turns into knowing their partner’s name, what their pet looks like, and being the person they message when their family is being shit again.

The way you never thought about a character in a certain way until you met them, and now you’re obsessed with their personal headcanon about it.

Hyping each other’s art, writing, etc.

Talking about your “friend from Australia” to irl friends and family.

Feeling proud when their posts get big notes.

Realizing you’ve been talking for ages but uh actually you have no idea what their name is?

The comfort of being at a stressful family gathering or other annoying situation and knowing the friends in your phone will be waiting when you get done with it.
