I wanted to throw my hat into the ring And see what maybe My OC kestrel wing Would have looked like in that universe nonetheless I think I'm truly placed with this one in impressed by myself. I'd like to think in that universe Maybe she would be that nightmare's variant It's amount of sorts. Foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog Half her skull bastion from whatever Affairs led up to her being blessed. The flesh side of her having a much more gaunt And dead looking appearance maybe even cold to the touch in some ways but oddly warm when she's pleased. The fire of her own soul being the thing that's keeping her bones and flesh together Even more so than in her actual Canon Variant. She still has her mind and can speak Still kind harder than nature but a lot more stoic and usually only talks to nightmare And Always is right by his side ready for orders of any sort.

To celebrate the 4th of July ironically technically one of my very first official new New Hope tale finished comics.

A purple night .this short takes place toward the middle of nightmare and kestrels relationship still pretty early on where they were somewhere between way past just leader and servant but just before being daughter and father or mentor and student. This was also one of the first ever conjoined dreams that Kestrel and Nightmare had that they shared. Due to their Soul Bond they're so Bond was made due to the result of a deal that Kestrel made when she first joined Nightmare and Dream and their perspective groups. For context in fact I would like to put here is the reason why Kestrel was all bandaged up is because well she's basically a vigilante he works with nightmare need I say more LOL one way or another you would probably get used to being at least roughed up a bit whether it was during sparring or Defending Your Leader. In my au nightmare still makes deals like in Canon but there's also a catch to any member that joins his group a little contingency plan if you will. When someone joins nightmares group, there's a Soul Bond. A little bit of them goes into him in a little bit of him goes into them. In other words they can feel each other's feelings sometimes they can sense each other's feelings, sometimes memories, thoughts, or even dreams slip through mostly just emotions, though. Kestrel wing ability to sense nightmare is just a bit more enhanced due to the fact that she literally shares a sliver of him and his brothers Souls. Anyway when this happens with any member of nightmares team their eyes turn temporarily, a light purple including his one remaining eye. 💜 kestrels wing dreams of nightmare how he used to be seeing him in his original state is formed she runs in tearfully Embraces him sobbing asking him why he had to go why did he have to leave her. Showing just how much she truly misses him only for her to wake up her wounds tended to in bandaged in corrupted nightmares weirdly protective Embrace as he sleeps nightmare ironically enough unsubconsciously doesn't even realize that he's starting to be able to feel empathy or any sort of protection toward her or any of his teammates at the end of the short though both sensing each other's emotions and growing emotions do to the mutations altering one another Soul through the bond in a positive way both are hit or with a starting of a piece that neither one has felt with anyone else beside their perspective twin which in one sense or another they've lost feeling comforted by each other without even realizing it both fall asleep nuzzling against each other feeling at ease and peaceful for the first time in a very long time for one of them and almost 500 years.
