Anushka Shrestha (Nepali: अनुष्का श्रेष्ठ) (born 18 January 1996) is a Nepalese beauty pageant title holder who was crowned Miss World Nepal 2019 on 9 May 2019. She represented Nepal at Miss World 2019 pageant held in the ExCeL London, London, the United Kingdom on 14 December 2019. She has won the “Beauty with purpose” title in Miss World 2019. Shrestha is also Miss Nepal Oceania 2018 held at Australia. She also won the title of Miss Yamaha Fascino 2019 along with another title Miss Intellect 2019. She was crowned by her predecessor Shrinkhala Khatiwada. She was born on 18 January 1996, in Kathmandu, Nepal to her mother, Nepalese fashion designer Mukta Shrestha and her father, Anil Shrestha. Shrestha completed SLC (School Leaving Certificate) from Triyog High School, and junior college from Ace Higher Secondary School. Later, she went to Sydney, Australia and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Commerce at the Australian Catholic University.
In the beauty pageant being held in London, England, Shrestha was chosen as one of the twelve semi-finalists.
Though Shrestha was not shortlisted as one of the finalists, she has brought home the title of Beauty With A Purpose. Shrinkhala Khatiwada, Miss Nepal 2018, had also won the title in last year’s Miss World pageant. Earlier in the competition, Shrestha had secured the top position in the Multimedia category. The title of Miss World, 2019 has been claimed by Jamaica, followed by France and India as first and second runners-up respectively. Beauty of the purpose is Anushka Shrestha from Nepal.
