Things You Shouldn’t Do As a Customer
1.) Leave items you don’t want anymore around the store. Either give it to an employee when you’re checking out and be like “hey i’m sorry i changed my mind where do i put it?” and they’ll take it back or put it back yourself, but don’t leave it on a random ass shelf, especially if it’s supposed to be refrigerated
2.) Please please please stop making the “guess it’s free” joke if something isn’t ringing up. It’s not free we’re in capitalist hell you KNOW this
3.) Sometimes people who are bagging your groceries will not remember that you asked for this bag or for that item to be sacked alone. Just remind them, or quietly rearrange it yourself after the fact. You do not have to get angry and insult them to their face. Stop it.
4.) Please don’t talk politics I don’t care if I agree with you someone will hear me and probably argue with me so just don’t instead ask me about the weather or hair or something idk
5.) No worker really cares about your current state and I sincerely have never desired to dissect why your day “was really bad” I’m just going to be silent and ask you about the weather
6.) If you do ask for cashback and the store’s limit is over fifty, do not get that unless truly desperate. please please just get ten or twenty. there are atms for a reason, please try to use them
7.) please get out your reusable bags first. I’m going to start sacking your groceries.
8.) do not negatively comment on employee’s appearances, however helpful you think it is. Telling me I look better without glasses, that you liked my hair better when it was blonde, or that “you look like you could use a smile” is not helping me at all. I will not get contacts, change my hair back, or smile. In fact, I will probably get bigger glasses, more outrageous hair, and will never smile at you ever again.
9.) don’t worry about judgment. we have seen every purchase made, every person in the store. you are probably safe. like, 97% safe. been like “oh crap” when you realize you’re shopping in lounge pants that aren’t usually seeing public things? i had a man come in with neon green crocs in fifteen degree weather. you’re fine.
10.) If the employee is already doing something and you need help, wait patiently or find someone else. please.
As someone who also works in click list do you ever have people take the the things off your trolley or look into your bags like bro I'm right here what you doing??
ALL the time... Old people in particular love to steal my produce bags (or just the produce itself if I leave it on top of the trolley) if they can’t find any so I look at them like this
When a customer asks me where something is and I give them very specific directions and I watch them walk the wrong way
me after my 15 min break at work
When the customer says no subs allowed, but you override it to give them what they wanted in a different quantity
Customers really be standing in your way for 10 minutes and then get mad when you pass in front of them...... smh
When you catch your newest coworker trying to order marshall on your account and you just KNOW they messed something up
“Fresh-tivities” sounds an awful lot like “fresh titties” @ the Kroger marketing team
Clicklist workers can have a little functioning BayMax... as a treat
“The number one imported Italian wine in the country, Stella Rosa”
No items on the shelf
“BOH: 999+”
When I finish an extra long pick and my manager hands me another set of labels as soon as I walk in the door
In this house, we fix our baymax by slamming it on the trolley.
